good for you does not mean good for everyone. its expensive then no major improvement over vram given, stuck with 8 gb of vram and limited bandwidth

The ti gives a nice fps bump. And the 16gb adds very little, despite what you read on reddit...
This video makes me think i should've gotten the 8gb version of the rtx 4060 ti instead since i game at 1080p...there was no noticeable difference in fps between the two i wasted $100 buying the 16gb version?
If you only play at 1080p yes friend, although some games in 1440p will help you with those 16GB
when does the double vram of 16gb become important compared to the vram of 8gb, since they seem pretty much equal in these results?
sometimes 1% lows differ and there are a few games which will stutter alot when not enough vram is available like the last of us part 1 I believe.
But overall I feel like the 4060 ti 16GB was secretly made for people using AI stuff like stable diffusion etc. where the 16GB model can actually outperform even the 4070 ti for larger images because it only has 12GB VRAM.
Only matters in some high fidelity modern games like RE4 remake, TLOU, Alan Wake 2 etc. If you only have 8gigs of vram you'll get massive FPS drops which is pretty annoying.
nvidia said 8gb will still be enough at 1080 for years to come
Well you see, NVIDIA did the bare minimum of work to make this card. They took an 8gb 4060ti, slapped another 8 onto it, and called it a day. They didn’t optimize it to use the extra vram, it’s still just an 8gb 4060ti that doesn’t know how to use its extra VRAM, and driver updates aren’t gonna address that very easily. It’s the equivalent of NVIDIA going “alright we’ll make the movie everybody wants. Well it’s not that great yet but we’ll have the editors fix it all in post and then it’ll be good”
For gaming: loading higher texture and Frame Generation (yes this one needs lot of vram)
For productive stuffs: machine learning, rendering, modeling
when will they realize what we gamers need is not another software optimized gpu gard but a hardware modified one .

The best deals I could find were for $500 over here but I'll rather throw in $80 extra to get the best variant with highest OC.
@@anitaremenarova6662 Absolutely don't spend money on highest OC. These "overclocks" are usually within 1% of the base clock, it's completely irrelevamt. The only thing which actually matters is how good the cooling is and apart from the MSI ventus 2X und windforce 2 fan cards, all the versions seem to have at least decent cooling.

I don't understand why the 16 GB of VRAM seems to be making very little difference, its only marginally better than the 8 GB in most of these tests. Its even worse in some tests.

@@PixelBenchYT That's not the gpus fault tho. The last of us and re4 remake are terribly optimized and shouldn't really be using more than 8gbs at the moment

@@user-qy1lv6pm8h 8 GB is the bottom line nowadays. High graphics may not be consistently overwhelming for 8GB of VRAM today, but in some games it is indeed the bottleneck. The extra room to keep large texture files loaded onto VRAM in detailed video games is going to be crucial in whether or not your GPU can keep up with high settings or you gotta lower them or turn off some things such as shadows or volumetrics or render distances. So in 2 years when high fidelity games are even more meticulously detailed and have an even larger collection of textures to load in and keep on your card’s memory, this will matter. That’s why buying a card for an investment-level price now with the intent of being ready for the future (within your new GPU’s life expectancy) is (yes, debatably) better than paying hundreds for a lesser card today, and still buying another card again in the future when the money you spent today no longer lives up to your expectations. TLDR; we strive for what the 1080 Ti accomplished: the best bang for buck card that will survive the future when it is generations old. The 4060 Ti 16GB is a solid idea, sure, but the execution of this card was terrible. It was simply a hush-the-protestors move, the card isn’t optimized to fully utilize its extra RAM. But people paying for 4060s and 60 Ti’s are right to be worried about their cards being obsolete in a couple years, because not a lot changed between 3060s and 4060s except that we got LESS vram, and games and hardware have been taking off these past 6 years and becoming ever more demanding.

for 1440p buy the 4060ti 8 gb and lower the graphic on more demanding games and you are fine .
4070 seems to expensive for me . 200 $ extra for 20 fps over 4060ti 8 gb does not worth .

Nvidia without doubt have made the majority of the top 10 best cards of all time but hands down I think the worst card ever made is the 4060 Ti 16GB. How could they have messed this series up so bad? How did they not learn from the 3000 Series? Should have been:
4060 8GB
4060 Ti 12GB
4070 16GB
4080 20GB
4090 24GB
3000 Series should have been:
3060 8GB
3070 10GB
3080 12GB
3090 16GB
3090 Ti 16GB

Because real life experience is different... I don't trust these tests anymore. Shows game ULTRA settings.... doubt, most games ultra settings means +8GB VRAM and game starts to act up, if you don't have it.
