I have placed the arguments in the previous comment. I am not against Rama. He is God, an avatar of Vishnu. Ultimately and basically, his purpose of the avatar is to eliminate Ravana as he was committing Atrocities in the world. The purpose of his Avatar is to uphold Dharma and eliminate whoever or whichever is against it. So the arguments given below are not applicable to Rama. God is not bound by human laws. His Dharma/Law is superior and supersedes all other laws. So Rama is beyond our arguments. The previous comment is applicable, if Rama is not an avatar, but a normal ordinary human being. Hence the previous comment is logical only to a limited extent and applicable to a normal human being.
So Ravana's ahangaaram and garvam are the reasons.. Ravana is responsible for his death. When he got so much extraordinary power and wealth, he should have maintained humility. Soorpanagai need not have been brought in the debate at all. The tille could have been - what is the reason for Ravana's Death-- HIs Kaamam or Ahangaaram. The ultimate conclusion could be --- The Need to Maintain Dharma-- This is the Reason
Also wrong argument. Cause you have contradicted your own argument. You said evwryone has garvam and ahangaram. If that's the case everyone should be killed or die is it? Also, why we need rama to maintain dharma. Does that mean before and after rama there's no, dharma maintained? So basically we can't apply logic to ravana death. This is just a play(leelai) by god to show anava causes suffering. That's all. Ravana and rama and sita and all characters are just playing tgwir roles to show us this reality.
The main reason for the killing of Ravana was Rama himself. When somebody is abducting your wife and keeping in his custody for the purpose of marrying, you have no right to kill him. Without killing him , you should bring back your wife. Instead Rama killed Ravana. Every person has kaamam and kobham. Ravana is not an exception. As per the present day law, Rama is at fault and legal action will be taken against him. EVEN AS PER the Dharma (Law) in force at the time of Ramayana, a king in order to capture another country can fight against the opponent , the king of another country and in the process can kill the king of another country. There is no fault with Rama in this case if he fought against Ravana to capture Lanka. But Rama's intention, is not capturing Lanka, his intention is to retrieve Sita, With that intention, he should have retrieved Sita without killing Ravana, by showing his valour in many other ways such that Ravana realises that Rama was superior and capable of killing Ravana. This Rama could have done without killing him and retrieved Sita back. In that case Rama will not be at fault. Since he killed Ravana due to above reason of retrieving Sita, but not in the process of and intention of capturing Lanka, Rama is the first accused. Ravana is at fault for abducting and detaining a woman in his custody and control. For this action could have been taken. However as he has been killed, no legal action can now be taken, but it can be recorded as fault from his side. If he was alive, the applicable punishment should be imposed on him.
You're argument ia wrong. When ravana kidnap sita, he killed jetayu otw. This is the case of hamas, kidnapping innocent people and killing them in the process. So ravanan, already killed many innocent peoples before evwn meeting rama. Also, rama didn't kill ravana straight, he gave many chances to ravana to surrender sita. But ravana, wanted war. So, it was ravana who chose war. And even in war, he went in on the last few days. That shows there was no intention to kill him, the intention was to retrieve sita, but as a collateral damage ravana must ve killed to achieve this goal. So basically ravana, was the cause of his own death. Also the criminal laws dont apply to kidnappers. Because, you kidnap someone meaning you already have ill intention. So, the victim or the rescuer have the reason for self defense. Hence, even in modern days, if rama was a human, he wont be prosecuted.
