Man, this lands me right back to my childhood. I dig this! The poster covered walls in bedroom; Talks Cheap, Vain, Mother Love Bone, etc. And I recognize Water St. in PT. I used to live right above Riley's store early '90s. Dude, Kallie (Daisy) would be so proud! Love this. Buying the record! Thank you Les! You look fantastic and sound so uniquely great.
Amazing!!! 2 standouts from the intro for me 1. The ability to leave your bike in front of a store and nobody steals it. 2. The POA record sandwiched between Hanoi & Descendents.
Love this...if ok with you..Ill be playing this on my Psykos Platters show this evening..truth this is a new theme song for the Vinyl Community lol..take care
0:45 are you kidding me? the original smoke 7 copy of Redd Kross (nee Red Cross) 's debut album 'Born Innocent' in a bin marked $5 or 3 for 10 dollars? where is this shop? from the star wars style letterbox intro and back story i'm guessing you're near about my age which is 58 because i definitely remember mowing lawns washing cars whatever it took all to be able to save enough money in the late 70s and early 80s to buy a new album, sometimes even taking a gamble on an artist or band i never heard before because i could tell from the album art and the way the band looked and their song titles these were my people, its how i discovered everyone from Big Star to Replacements to Redd Kross, The Three O'Clock, Echo and The Bunnymen to 20/20 The Dream Syndicate, The Records and The Only Ones too many more to name suffice it to say a single album back then could sustain me for six months to a year hell even U2 and R.E.M were great then (think albums like Boy and October, Murmer and Reckoning) not to mention discovering everyone from Undertones and The Velvet Underground to early Brian Eno and Nico and dont get me started on old school punk rock like The Stepmothers, Channel 3, Adolescents, T.S.O.L , Christian Death, Agent Orange, Social Distortion, D.I. Black Flag, Misfits.damn i'm old 🤣
Absolutely love it !!!
