the drummer absolutely killed it. I love this band
I thought the drums were kinda meh on this one, not the drumming itself but the thing was pretty repetitive and doing nothing too interesting unlike in previous icdd songs
@@Tristan-mv6lc you are right, the drumming was repetitive unlike other icdd songs like shinbatsu o tadori or yomi yori but i still found it extremely impressive
@@ketash both of those songs the drumming was done by a computer, this may sound different because now the drums are actually done by a human
@@Clawb0 Yomi Yori was played entirely by Shuhei, not a computer, check his channel. I dont know about the other 2 though

This was beyond my expectations! I'm extremely happy to hear the good old symphonic melodeath sound and fast expressive riffs with amazing Rib's vocals.

This band does not disappoint, very good melodic metal, Rib:Y aesthetically very Black Metal, and their vocal technique, ufff, a lot to turn on. At 2:34 - 2:40 the vocal technique (sounded slightly like tunnel through to me) reminded me of Dickie Allen on songs like Unholy Gravebirth or Blasphemian. Anyway, from Japan, they are one of my favorite bands, so I loved it, i can't wait to listen to their album, it will be crazy!!

This is mind blowing. Some of those elements like tremolo guitar riffs and the vid remains me black metal, but it’s completely different from any music I’ve ever heard

I'm into metal for around 20 years now and I've never heard something similar to this. This is my personal discovery of all the bands I've listened to this year. The album from 2022 (which I can't pronounce the name of it anyways) is the best I've listened to in a whole while. Keep it up!

i really liked to hear what sounds like a 8 string/Drop A guitar in the background. Those riffs are fire tho, nice work bros!
They're not using 8 strings, just 6 string drop c. They just sound heavier in this song because they use more palm muting and because of the mix.
@@Tristan-mv6lc I know, i do play their songs on my guitar but this one... it doesnt sound heavier, its just that the short open E string tremolo picking sounds like a drop A, even tho they aways use drop C
@@stxnia1g I'm not sure about that, it's hard to see what they're playing in the video. But it would make sense for them to use drop c since the song is in A minor for the most part

More like the freshman class at the school of Dir En Grey. They even use the same guitar tone. Go listen to the range in Vinushka and holla back.

Wow this sounded like one of the songs rib did with undead corporation back in their Touhou/doujin days. Quite a different sound to icdd stuff. Still sounded good though, just perhaps the drums were a bit lackluster with using the same blastbeat for too long imo
