The Kikuchi trade was the worst initial reaction I’ve had to a trade since the Chris Archer trade. Not as bad of an overpay from a talent perspective but still
I love the Flaherty deal on both sides for the Dodgers they get the pitcher they desperately need for this rotation this year. For the Tigers they look at the Dodgers and they see that they're deep at catcher they already have Cartaya and Rushing plus Will Smith so they're dealing from a position of depth where they don't feel it and so it's probably a slight overpay on the Dodgers part but if you're smart enough to go after a team where they already have depth of the position you want you can probably get a little more than he's worth which is what I think happened here
It made me so fucking mad when I watched the Loperfido interview after he was traded. The dude legitimately liked being in Houston, he said it felt like home as he was holding back tears. I am hoping this gets Dana Brown fired because this was a ridiculous trade to pull off. We would have been happier if we had done nothing at all at the deadline. I get that the Astros have immense outfield depth but if they dont resign Tucker then Loperfido would have been that guy
Turner has actually been really solid offensively outside of a horrible May, he is quite literally now the 2nd best hitter on the Mariners, probably has more to do with the Mariners joke of an offense, but still.
It is HILARIOUS when people call this a “good” or “fun” deadline. It was a snoozefest. Only one real impact bat was moved and none of the big names went anywhere. Just because there were a lot of trades, doesn’t mean the deadline was good; it wasn’t.
The Orioles will fix Rodgers. He's been injury prone, so let's see what happens. As an O's fan I'll miss Norby & Stowers, but Rodgers isn't old and has shown he has skills. It's up to the pitching lab to unlock it again.
How does the idea of using two starters for one game sound? For example, let’s say the Dodgers do get everyone healthy and they choose to use Yamamoto for 5innings and Kershaw for 4 innings?
Hey Baltimore...you go cheap..you go home..dont put your golf clubs away..you should have went after Skubal..you'll see why when you get knocked out of the playoffs. 😂😂

FYI Chafin has a 6M team option at the end of this year so it’s a potential 1.5 years of control if they pick up that option

Kershaw against Machado Tatis Bogaerts or JDM Alonso Vientos late could be trouble

No jt chargois coverage for the mariners
pathetic unless you covered it yesterday
Cardinals got two players for free essentially.
