- JBL Harman Kardon subwoofer 140/230 having no sound but the green light is on.
JBL Speaker No sound coming out from the speaker even tried changing input source.
JBL speaker Power is ok. No sound output.
First try to find the source of your problem. The easiest way would be to try your sub with a different audio source to see if the problem still occurs.
If still no sound it's more likely there's a problem with the receiver preamp and limiter circuit.
Follow these video guide if you encounter the same problem. .

Hi @RedMan - How do we know that the IC is the problem? and what is the number of that IC?
Also the input LFE - what should be the voltage shown of the input LFE, I need to be sure that the problem is not with the DVD player.

I did exactly the same, removed the IC in the standing circuit Board, that IC is basically an operational amplifier for low frequencies.
I also replaced the big power capacitors (this took me 2hrs to remove them)
after I resoldered the new IC, I carefully made sure the IC and capacitors did not overheat
Closed everything and Vola it started working.
I have a very bad sight which made it very difficult

Can we get the Audio out signal to other speakers from this JBL subwoofer..is ther any special method to connect wire.....?
Yes, you can take it from the pre-out of the amp circuit near the amp IC.

I have same issues in subwoofer and I have done ic replacement but there is no sound. Measured IC voltage 30V, 15v, ans 3.1 also. The voltage should be not less than 15 ? Or it’s normal ? Pls advise me thanks🙏

Kung meron ka na home theater or AV amplifier system na 5.1 channel, ikakabit mo yan na mga satellite speaker. Yan na maliliit then yan na subwoofer sa sub woofer out ng AV 5.1 amplifier mo.

Hi, I have a Harman Kardon TS-11 sub and I have a problem that even though the LED is on blue, there is no sound? Any clue what the problem might be? I just saw your video and thought I'd ask :)

What have you done so far? Do check the output of pre amplifier section first for output signal driving the main amp.
@@redman7339 Hi. Maybe I'll write how it looked in my place ;) As long as it played, it sounded beautiful, but over time the sound disappeared and the diode was normally lit blue. For some time, it was enough to lightly touch the metal back panel and the sub played normally again. But that too stopped working over time. And yesterday I came across your video and I thought JBL and HK are one and the same maybe this is what you were fixing ;) Thank you very much for your answer ;)

@@redman7339 ok na po sir nakita ko na sa forum, meron silang inupload na service manual, andun na po lahat ng part numbers at value. mahirap po kasi dito sa ibang bansa mag kalikot ng sarili kasi bihira tindahan ng pyesa.
