1984 is a MUST-read!!! Not an easy read though, be prepared. But it truly is an eye-opening, thought-provoking, awakening, brilliant novel. After you read it, you will never be able to see the society around you as before. It's just as deliberating as frustrating at the same time. That dystopia is not in the future. It is here in the now. Always been here.
I can't imagine Akk's feelings when his mom told him that he can let it go if he is already tired. He's kept everything to himself because he didn't want to disappoint anyone and now, he knew that it's okay to feel all these things and it's okay to put himself first. The subject being about controlling people and the way they think (or the believe by empowered people that they shouldn't think at all) is identical in the book and the series. It's mind-blowing and extremely clever.
I love the way they talked or mentioned, focused this great book (George Orwell 1984) they gave the opportunity to describe it. When they started mentioning this book at the beginning of the serie I just started getting interested on it. I’m not here just because of the characters , I’m here for the message that they want to transmit to us. I hope that my comment is not lost under the others. We all need to wake up because we’ll be taken all our rights , and we’ll think that we have it , but we won’t. We’ll be silent if we keep sleeping. It's strange to see 1984 in a show where the characters don't necessarily know about it. Here in the US, it's usually required reading for school. At least, it was for me in both high school and college, as well as Animal Farm and Fahrenheit 451. It's a really good book and I absolutely recommend it to people.
it's pretty well-known here in brazil too! but i think it's just kind of metaphorical and a bit of metalanguage use. like, the students and prefects are just as brainwashed as the characters in the book, so it kind of makes sense for akk's character to not know or care about it.

I also realized, the best recommendation for books is the one that the one you like likes. And there’s nothing more heart fluttering when someone likes your fave book. I just want to say the development of Akk's character is very well written! We can see him changing gradually through episodes and in this new one he even apologizes to those protesters, which he has never done before. He starts to think and listen to different opinions! For me, schools should wear uniforms. It makes everything simple. Nowadays peer pressure makes kids try to outshine one another. Imagine a school without uniforms, kids have the pressure to look their best, and if they are poor, they get notice quickly which can lead to poor self esteem and bullying. Wearing uniforms can alleviate some of that. Plus , students can wear uniforms and still be creative.
It is important to grow up. We always need a mother’s hug and her tenderness. There is nothing more beautiful than a mother’s hug. It really hurts me that her father is happy with him because he is conservative, but the problem is that things do not go well.
The scene with them standing there watching the rain and their banter...all of them....like damn, it was really so pleasant and romantic. Moreover, there's the contrast in their personalities that makes it so much more interesting ❤
Books are powerful and Aye knows that. That’s why he put that book in his bag knowing Akk’s curiosity would get the best of him. Love the story so much. The message is so important. When you can't speak yourself because people in power don't like your way of thinking and prosecute you for your opinion..it's like you can't really breath. If people don't care about other peoples' problems, think that it's not their business to defend human rights and liberties because they themselves are fine..one day you can wake up in '1984' with no idea how it turned out like that despite all the absurdity.. Shoutout to 'The Eclipse' that makes us not just feel but also makes us think. Makes us aware of awesome books and importance if being socially conscious.
I kin Akk. He’s so understandable and such a sympathetic character. He does what he needs to do to be enough for his family, to be someone that his parents can be proud of and speak highly of. He just wants his parents to not be disappointed in him which is such a slippery slope. I find myself in him a lot. He’s a very well-written character. It sucks he was taken advantage of by his headmaster, his weakness is being preyed upon.

I love '1984'! I really recommend this book and its plot is somehow related to their school's rules. It tells about submission to the rules, chasing the freedom, attempts to change the society and so much more.
idk if its just me but in most BL drama even when i find both the top n bottom cute, i'm usually attracted more to the tops in general ( may be cause my personal preferences gets aligned ) but in here Ayan/Aye it is, he is so beautiful.
We finally get some much needed context for why the school uniform is so important to Akk! The way his parents were so excited to see him wear it, and how they talked about him being their pride means that Akk too probably feels like the school uniform has an incredible value. No wonder he's supporting the suppression of the protesting squad who wants to abolish the uniform. But Akk's feelings on the matter still doesn't mean that he's right. It's simply some new context for why he's adhering to the principal teacher's wishes, even when it's clearly the wrong thing to do.
Tbh I understand Akk so much..and I kinda relate to him. He always think of pleasing other (it's not bad) but doing it until you feel like breaking down and exhausted and still don't talk/express about it will make you frustrated and stressed in another level. It's sad but I'm glad he's more open now and there's Ayan 🥺

I just realized that am going to really miss this show when its over which is rare but The Eclipse tackles more Important issues in society and quite handles them well its actually impeccable how well thought provoking this show is ....I mean I can see the internal struggle Akk is going through of seeing of wanting to do things in Ayans way but it ain't going to be easy since he doesn't want to let anyone down his family,peers and also school ...I mean sometimes as young people we also do struggle with such issues and its feels great to see this in this show😇The way Akk leaned on his mom for that comfort and the mum said if it's hard you can let it go had me in tears...The eclipse is worth every watch ❤💯

1984 es un libro que justo empecé a leer antes de ver la serie y no sabía que la encontraría aqui también, con razon entiendo mejor la manera de pensar de Ayan. Este libro explica tantas cosas de la sociedad a traves de una distopia, amo que la hayan tomando como parte de la serie. AMO AMO!!

I just want to say the development of Akk's character is very well written! We can see him changing gradually through episodes and in this new one he even apologizes to those protesters, which he has never done before. He starts to think and listen to different opinions! What Wat said gets Akk to think, love it❤ And also Akk wants to know more about the book 1984…😭😭
And it breaks my heart when Akk tries to hold back his fragile (the scene Akk with his mom) he is so tired I can't 😭😭😭

But this book is banned in many countries. I am sad about this and in a country that no one knows. I hope to find it. It is really nice to find someone who knows this book.
For me, schools should wear uniforms. It makes everything simple. Nowadays peer pressure makes kids try to outshine one another. Imagine a school without uniforms, kids have the pressure to look their best, and if they are poor, they get notice quickly which can lead to poor self esteem and bullying. Wearing uniforms can alleviate some of that. Plus , students can wear uniforms and still be creative.
It is important to grow up. We always need a mother’s hug and her tenderness. There is nothing more beautiful than a mother’s hug. It really hurts me that her father is happy with him because he is conservative, but the problem is that things do not go well.

Books are powerful and Aye knows that. That’s why he put that book in his bag knowing Akk’s curiosity would get the best of him. Akk’s expression at seeing Aye was too funny, but I wanted to hold him when he said he was tired and just wanted to lay on him mom’s lap. Poor baby is carrying too much to be so young.😔
10/10 would recommend 1984 to all of you. I read it in college and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

This is really my favorite line, wat is really the most wisdom of all three. And tge way they show us Akk reading 1984 is just show that Akk is trying to understand Aye way of thinking, by reading the same book. I love the details of this drama.

Love the story so much. The message is so important. When you can't speak yourself because people in power don't like your way of thinking and prosecute you for your opinion..it's like you can't really breath. If people don't care about other peoples' problems, think that it's not their business to defend human rights and liberties because they themselves are fine..one day you can wake up in '1984' with no idea how it turned out like that despite all the absurdity.. Shoutout to 'The Eclipse' that makes us not just feel but also makes us think. Makes us aware of awesome books and importance if being socially conscious.

I kin Akk. He’s so understandable and such a sympathetic character. He does what he needs to do to be enough for his family, to be someone that his parents can be proud of and speak highly of. He just wants his parents to not be disappointed in him which is such a slippery slope. I find myself in him a lot. He’s a very well-written character. It sucks he was taken advantage of by his headmaster, his weakness is being preyed upon.

I love '1984'! I really recommend this book and its plot is somehow related to their school's rules. It tells about submission to the rules, chasing the freedom, attempts to change the society and so much more.
idk if its just me but in most BL drama even when i find both the top n bottom cute, i'm usually attracted more to the tops in general ( may be cause my personal preferences gets aligned ) but in here Ayan/Aye it is, he is so beautiful.

We finally get some much needed context for why the school uniform is so important to Akk! The way his parents were so excited to see him wear it, and how they talked about him being their pride means that Akk too probably feels like the school uniform has an incredible value. No wonder he's supporting the suppression of the protesting squad who wants to abolish the uniform. But Akk's feelings on the matter still doesn't mean that he's right. It's simply some new context for why he's adhering to the principal teacher's wishes, even when it's clearly the wrong thing to do.
Life is really complicated, causal clothes is the freedom they want while the uniform is the freedom he wants.
I really appreciate the director he even mentioned animal form which also depicts the political situation and leadership

Tbh I understand Akk so much..and I kinda relate to him. He always think of pleasing other (it's not bad) but doing it until you feel like breaking down and exhausted and still don't talk/express about it will make you frustrated and stressed in another level. It's sad but I'm glad he's more open now and there's Ayan 🥺
