Diane plays Fantasie and Fugue in B Flat by Alexandre Pierre François Boëly on the 99-stop Reiger-Kloss Organ of St Matthias Church in Budapest, Hungary.

To all the lads and lasses complaining about the brisk tempo: the Fantasy is marked Allegro. Allegro means to play fast, quickly, and bright. Diane is playing the Fantasy at an Allegro tempo, which is generally 120-156 beats per minute. I have her clocked around 124. So, no, it is not too fast. The Fugue is marked Moderato, which is a moderate speed. Relative to the Allegro, it is a moderate speed. I have her clocked around 88 bpm, which is on the slower side of Moderato, and can be Andantino. As well, the Fugue contains sixteenth notes, which will sound faster to the ear. Diane does a great job with this piece, and if you disagree with her tempo markings, please post your own version for everyone to hear.

Not really, it's a choice. If you have studied a piece properly, you can play it at any speed. She deliberately chooses to play it way too fast. I can't believe Nadia Boulanger (a student of Guilmant) taught it like this...

Yes, this is far too fast. I once had a digital recording of this piece that I have now lost that was far slower, and just delightful.
