H.E.R. is definitely one of my favourite artists, but this album didn't really deliver, mainly the slower tracks, it came of a little weak, more like it's missing some elements. But overall it's a great album because I fully appreciate the versatility in it. My top 5 has to be Process Back of my mind Exhausted On my own Find a way Thank you for reacting to Back Of My Mind ❤️ I just love it when people love H.E.R.

You kinda lost me on a few songs that you didnt like i was like WHAT? lol..but..I love Closer To Me, Process & Mean it. Alot of people dont seem to appreciate the longer albums anymore but I do, takes me back to the 90s. Artists these days will drop a 8-9 song album and be done. H.E.R. just embodies old school R&B so I appreciated it...Definitely one of the better projects released by a female artist in 2021🔥
Process, lucky and back of my mind are my top three favorite. Process being my absolute favorite. I agree with you saying her past two projects were a tad bit better than this album. Never the less I love H.E.R and can't wait to see what she does next.
I agree! I really liked a lot of the songs but over all I wasn’t overly excited about it as a whole. I also think the album may have been a tad too long
I just feel like all her music sounds the same. That slow tempo modern RNB sound gets old. Right now her music doesn't fully compliment her talent. Being a multi-instrumentalist, i wish her music was a little more diverse
I understand that criticism but I actually think outside of her albums she does play around a bit. She does a bit of reggae influenced sound, pop sound “closer” by saweetie. I just think with her albums she has so many songs and they don’t differentiate enough
I disagree with your review!This is probably the best album of the last decades about RnB section.The fact that the tracks are 21 I thank god that there are artist like H.E.R. still promote massively this genres.You just forgot to say that she’s only 23 yo and she’s so talented and prolific and she won so much since she’s on the music industry.BOOM is not perfect but perfection is so inhuman and impossible.Maybe you need another listening to this album with more attention and without prejudice.Thanks a lot.From Italy with love.
I’m commenting as I watch but for we made it is more so a rock song it’s not supposed focus on the singing but more or her playing her instruments she finally made it ya know
This album is def too long & the production is lacking in places. The features do little to add to the project & most seem out of place. The only ones I'd really keep is Ty & Chris. Where are the female collabs? Especially bc she worked with Jazmine Sullivan & Jhené Aiko in the last year. The track sequencing also could've been better to tell a better story throughout. The songs that showcase her vulnerability, love, lost & longing really tell the emotions that truly sit in the back of one's mind. Those critiques aside, H.E.R. really stands out in the second half of this album. She's so talented & DESERVES IT. I will say some tracks like For Anyone & Hard to Love seem like they were written to be more piano driven but still awesome nonetheless! Mean It, Hard to Love & Bloody Waters are my top 3 tracks! Her pen was eating! 🥰

Great artist. A few great songs but the majority is the same mumble whiny auto-tune R&B with guest rappers. A lot of the songs sound the same. She should focus more on the musicianship
