    Please actually listen to what I’m saying in the video. I never once said that Anya Taylor Joy was all natural. In fact I said that, she has had procedures done but in a way that still brings out her individuality and self expression instead of looking like a typical cookie cutter tiktok face.

    • @iskrasretovic4570
      @iskrasretovic4570 Месяц назад +42

      Now i watched it again and still think my comment wasn't uncalled for because you said that despite maybe having some subtle procedures they didn't change their natural appearance. I disagree about Anya because, in spite of her not looking the same as all the other altered faces it doesn't look natural to me anymore. But i will agree that it does look very unique.

      @@iskrasretovic4570 I can understand the confusion. I was talking about 4 people that moment, and i said, they still retain their natural and unique appearance. The word Unique was more for Anya and Rihanna because they have very different looking faces and aesthetics.

Tiny upturned nose doesn't look good on everyone. Not everyone is meant to have a sharp jawline. Some people's faces are not designed for these features. Both parents genetics will always have an impact on child's apperance. Male beauty standart bar isn't as high as women's. So saying son's attractivity isn't corrolated from parents attractivity actually comes from this not from the reality. Actually so many "accepted" attractive male celebs look so much like their fathers also there are so many attractive male celebs who never knew who their father was example is Björn Andrésen who was known as the most beautiful boy in the world his physical apperance shaped global entertainment industry all of that boy band trend pretty boy are based on him. He didn't know who his father was until he was in his 60's and he looks nothing like his mom. People forget so many celebs come from broken households and lots of them don't know who their fathers are. Marilyn Monroe also never really knew who her father was either. Entertainment industry choses children who don't have involved fathers or fathers at all so they can use them more. That's why that study's sample is also quite low. Let's also keep in mind that a lot of these beauty standards exclude women of colour (especially black women) while at the same pressuring women to "look" racially ambiguous AND have eurocentric features. Let's not also forget that when it comes to black women, colouristic bias really dictates that if you look any darker than Rihanna, Beyoncé, or Zendaya then you're deemed undesirable. (i.e. the "Becky with the good hair" nuance) I'm very sure colourism exists in many cultures that also effects why standards of beauty are so skewed now.

    You are a blessing for posting this video. This is exactly what i have been telling people around whenever they complain that their noses are 'too long' or their jaw is 'too soft' or another part of their body is 'too weird'. It is because we have grown accustomed to social media looks and models, we have been taught from a young age that what is shown online is supposed to be the standard for beauty. But the more people follow it, the more people change themselves, the more we all look the same. People are ruining their uniqueness and natural beauty all because 'it is the standard'.
    We are not dolls, we are human. And what makes us human is our individuality, our skin that beautifully changes with age, the wrinkles that show that you have been here or so long, scars that show parts of your story and the memory of how they ended on your skin, facial features that prove that you are uniquely you. Every part of our body shows that we have experienced hardship, experienced ease, experienced life. Entirely different from the dolls that don't have actual bodies nor souls.
    Standards will change over the years but your decision to hurt yourself because you did not look 'pretty' will still be there, eating you alive. Take care of yourselves, not only physically but emotionally too.

    I had similar thoughts about the Qoves channel. Not like they are wrong at all but some presented information need more clarification (especially that the channel is very popular now among young people) plus some studies shown there also had a specific number and type of people researched.
    I highly recommend Kibbe body types system and Kitchener face essences if you want to find what looks good on you and what fits your personality. Previously, as a Gen Z I wanted to dress in baggy, street style clothes but it looked so overwhelming and shapeless on me, later in more girly, coquette styles but they looked like children's clothes on me instead of cute. Then, thanks to them I learned that I look my best in more classic and "mature" styles of clothes and makeup (something that everyone now wants to avoid at all costs btw).
    If you want to look your best, the worst things is to decide on one particular style based on what is desired at the moment. Not everyone look good in Asian makeups made to look younger and cuter, sometimes too much bright colours can overwhelm you, nude lips make your face disappear etc. It all depends.

    This summer was shocking for me. I saw so many identical girls on the beach and at my night walks, it's insane. The same hair, the same tan, the same hot body, the same baddie clothes, the same makeup, aaaaaa everything. And then when they post themselves on Instagram it's even more easy to see. I wonder how the f everyone became so hot and perfect suddenly? We are talking about normal teen girls.

      Because plastic surgery is so accessible and normalized, people want a quick fix and are lazy to put in the work (as we see with ozempic to lose weight, when it should only be reserved for those with diabetes and other health conditions), or too insecure to appreciate that they are healthy and good enough, to go ahead and get alterations like it will make people like them more as if they weren't already beautiful. Sure, people get bullied which leads to insecurities.... but come on, just cuz someone bully's you, doesn't make them right or correct about any mean thing they say about you. Idc how many times you've received a comment about a particular thing said about your body, they are NOT correct. Fuck 'em, don't give them power. Stay true to who you are, they are just miserable people that have nothing better to do. There is nothing wrong with anyone on this planet, wake up and appreciate your health. I swear if people were in less fortunate circumstances, they would NOT be caring so much about fruitless things such as appearance, like people who are starving from hunger, or training in the gym, nobody is focusing on their appearance, and you shouldn't either. 'Learn to be grateful', it's the best advice for anyone who is insecure about their appearance, online is online, the real world is our reality. And in reality, nobody looks like online people, they are fake and have filters, don't be jealous of fake people that don't exist in the real world. You are hurting yourself in the end. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, different cultures across the world have different beauty standards, stick to yours. Look at pictures of your parents when they were younger, see your ancestors and how proud they were to be from their background, don't hide that or change that, be PROUD! If everyone was the same, we would get bored easily, embrace your differences. Sorry this was long, I was just feeling like I needed to vent out my frustration with the constant battle of looking good to please others when we should just be ourselves to make ourselves happy.

But as the new beauty standard has been developing and set, I am becoming more and more grateful, and happy even, that I have my own look. That despite my insecurities, I never felt the need to be a carbon copy of the beauty trends.
    I'm just an average person who sometimes uses makeup for fun. I don't cover my whole face, I don't even mind not covering up all my acne. It's hard to to 'just be yourself' when people only accept this kind of look to be considered attractive. We can ignore it but it does effect the dating pool and how we are treated by others. That's just the sad reality. Either be the same mold or miss out on a lot of perks. A lot of young girls would rather look just as pretty even if they all look the same than different and being treated as less. Especially when there's a lot of competition? Who won? Corporation and (some) men who only values women based on appearance. If every girl look just like how they want they can simply pick whoever

    As a guy, I don't really know much about this stuff so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But girls, don't be pressured to look like this. Of course, everyone has their own style and if this is your style, that's cool. But I feel like obsessing over it falls into the same bucket as the body dysmorphia that a lot of body builders have -- unrealistic, plastic social media standards. Being naturally beautiful (genetics, staying healthy, working out, etc) is much better than sacrificing your health to look the same as every TikToker.
