The Pink VW Kombi in the beginning was a prototype back in the 60s when Mattel/Hotwheels was trying to expand towards the girl market at the time. However the thin casting meant it couldn't be launched by the side launching boosters at the time and was sepculated to flop regardless so the few prototypes that were made were gifted to the employees, Which is why they are valued soo much today.
The fun that kid had with those hot wheels, is worth so much more than actually money. I gave mine away to a random kid, and I bet he had as much fun as I did.

Edit: Btw I threw it away before I knew it was valuable. Edit 2: I also used to have the purple with lime green flames custom 1956 ford f100 which now goes for 600 bucks roughly. Same story with that one.
No. None of the original 16 are in there blister & cards… last 1 was opened in the mid 90”s Otherwise they would be worth even more…. If you come across any of them in blister/cards there FAKE!

i have a bunch of hot wheels from that are opened and i literally have a crate overflowing with unopened hot wheels i might need another crate or 2 to keep my collections
I have a crap ton of old vintage hot wheels and other types as well prolly 3-500 of em if you know anyone that buys might have one of these as well all of them are still in packaging as well
