Shout out to Ken for the great editing! My heart started to sink with the static camera on setup, because the messages at the start made me think that you wouldn't be involved in this one, but then the music started up and those sick close ups resumed, nice work as always!

I know everyone loves commander Vader now that the new cards are out, but I’m telling you, being able to double move at speed two with OP Vader and still attack is a HUGE boon. In the games I’ve played with him over the last few weeks, I feel it more than makes up for the fewer wounds and suppression that he can take.
Vader must save his surge tokens to defensive rolls and must have a dodge token every turn. Lesson 1 about dark lord.
Maybe Vader needed some back-up........cowardly empire stormtroopers. 🤣. Ps more legion, more often 👍

AT-ST was pretty much a non-factor in this game, Vader was of course out in the open taking fire from almost the entire droid army. GG CIS

I like your videos but I would highly recommend a dice box. I hate seeing dice cocked. Much harder to roll cocked dice in a dice tray/box. Also go CIS!
Why were you able to interrupt the triggering of “you disappoint me” to choke before you moved them? Wouldn’t that be the same timing issue as a relentless, choke, attack issue?
I had a look at it and think about it and I think you're right and I just got too caught up in the excitement of the moment.

Was Wondering when legion was coming back
At about the 58 minute mark Dooku does a move action, then attack action, then uses force choke. Isn’t his activation over after his second action, meaning he can no longer use force powers? Page 43 of the RRG says “ Free card actions can be performed only when a unit could normally perform an action, they cannot be used between a game effect and an ability that is triggered by that game effect.” I could be interpreting it wrong, but it seems like after your second action you could no longer do free card actions since you could no longer normally perform an action.
So firstly on page 13 of the RRG under 'Activating units' the steps are outlined of how a unit activates, and it does not stipulate that a unit's activation ends after performing 2 actions. In fact, it actually states a unit may perform its actions AND any free card actions in the perform actions step. This means the free actions can be performed before or after any of it's regular actions so long as the card allows it.
Secondly the reference you mentioned on page 43 of the RRG refers to not being able to use a free card action in between a triggered game effect. For example, you cannot use the Force Choke card action after a move action and trigger Relentless. It's either Move then Force Choke, or Move then Relentless then Force Choke. A similar example is provided in the RRG. "A free card action can only be performed when a unit could normally perform an action" refers to the 'perform actions' step I referred to on Page 13. So what Luke did with Dooku was in accordance with the 'perform actions' step of Page 13, because this is the step where it could normally occur. It just means you can't use your free card actions outside your activation (like when Stand by triggers) unless a game effect or card effect specifically allows you to.

Great game, but you really proved the point why I don't play in the compeditive league in Sydney as several of your comments referenced compeditive experiences. Doesn't should like fun and it sounds like everyone is adick.
I'm just going to stick to my friendly local games with friends and family thanks.
Hey man it's a hobby, so at the end of the day you should be doing what makes you happy! It is more than ok to just want to stick to local games and / or play at home. Having said that though, the way you paint this picture that the community here in Sydney is not trying to have fun, that we're not super friendly and welcoming, and that we're "all dicks" is completely off base.
In my experience the community has been overwhelmingly fun to be around but even if you disagree maybe next time just have a think about the way you're framing your message.

@@motf7552 Apologies if that is how it came across, but what I did is listen to your comments, such as the one about accidentally shifting Darth while retrieving some tokens or measuring some distance and then you went on how it was good that this was not in tournament, otherwise "they" would be jumping all over the place, implying things. So it is not my insinuation, but more that the scene is set by your on-camera comments. If the scene is as your comments indicate, then ... well, it is what it is...
Hey Lone_Pathfinder - I hung out with Dan and Adam from your region recently at CanCon - two great guys who play competitively and can tell you that your perception is skewed. The larger community is more like the mates you play with at home than you think :)
@@lone_pathfinder to be clear a lot of what I said was very tongue in cheek, but even then its more just a courtesy to your opponent to keep a clean game state. That's not mutually exclusive from having fun.
If you feel you've seen enough to write the community off, that's entirely your prerogative my dude and I genuinely hope you have a great time playing this game in whatever way you do, just know that the community is really welcoming and friendly if you want to give it a shot.
