@@someguywithhair6439 at that sort of pitch it's almost impossible to distinguish between chest fry and just a bit of gravel in the voice. Either way, amazing to get it so clear and open.

I've given up deciding between Tim,Jeff, and RDR. Each has a great stage presence of his own,Godly men,and each voice blends perfectly with their group. Too tough,I give up

Agree! One of the worst production mistakes; bass camera should have been immediately called back. Wow, what a disaster!
Now that you say that it drives me crazy lol
Jeff is a great bass. His voice is smooth and the volume of his bass is extraordinary.
My favorite video on RUclips. I listen every day. Praise Jesus!
When God looked down where the devil reigns
He saw a whole lot of people carrying chains
They were digging up holes for their very own sin
Oh it's gonna be the grave the devil puts them in

Well Satan's got a whole lot of people working on the chain gang (working on the chain gang)
Shackled to the world carrying their guilt and shame (carrying their guilt and shame)
But God saw a whole lot of people working on the chain gang (working on the chain gang)
So he sent his son and his son came to break those chains
Well there ain't no help down in this hole
The devil's got ahold and he won't let go
Well I got time threw my shovel down
Fell to my knees there on the ground
Well the devil said son you belong to me
So I cried to the lord would you set me free
I don't want to die end up in hell
Forgive me lord
That's when the shackles fell (that's when the shackles fell)
Satan's got a whole lot of people working on the chain gang (working on the chain gang)

He's gonna break those chains

He's gonna break those chains
He's gonna break those chains
He's gonna break those chains
He damn near laughs at 0:23 because he's so pleased with how the beginning of this sounded
While I dont agree with your language, I get what you are saying. When a singer starts that well, you start thinking "MAN, I SOUND GOOD!!"
So impressive being able to sing a contra E then having the flexibility to bang out those high notes so well at 3:00
I think the E1 was chest-fry

Awesome just heard on the radio, Praise The Lord! Thanks for the post.
01:15 wow, that was a clear E1. Not many can hit that so loud and clear.
Does anyone know what the time signature of this song is?
In the last 15 years Jeff Chapman, Aluisio Junior the Brazilian bass , and Tim Riley , have set the foundation for future Bass singers . Fred C
The tenor Jerry Martin is from my little hometown
WOW! What a wonderful and powerful song!!! Greetings from Brazil!
He is a beast
+CamoBoy 06 Jeff Is my favorite Bass Singer ! Thank you for coment :)
Great song and singers. Song sounds real southern like it's actually coming thru the Chain Gang and appropriate for a chain gang. Well done.

Is this awesome or what??!!
What was the lowest note of the bass?
E1
Does the bass singers voice hurt or suffer from singing like that ? Sorry just don't know much about it
sometimes it does...as a bass singer myself...it sometimes hurts my voice
Yes they can hurt their voice. Probably the most famous low bass singer of all time JD Sumner had to have surgery to remove nodules from his vocal cords. Many singers take voice lessons throughout their careers to avoid injuring their throat.
Subharmonics hurt if you do them for long enough. Regular chest notes don’t hurt.
Chain gang kingdom heirs song music video.
I thought my morning voice was deep
haha. Jeff's voice is really deep
JEEEEEFFFFFF!
Jeff Chapman is the lowest bass I have ever heard before .
