Why are people showing remorse for the officer when he was the reason it haopened? This is s clear case of police hypocrisy. If you or i were texting while driving we'd be treated like criminals. Yet this man gets a funeral and honorable mention etc, the entire department didn't even bother to give the poor woman any kind of condolences, they just caref about one of their own and went on about how awesome he was. He was the one driving the car, and while driving he was texting his wife how happy he was making his first arrest. That isn't something a cop should be proud of because that tells me that if he'd stayed longer he would've abused his power and been so arrest happy, how this man passed police academy is beyond me, but i guess it doesn't take much intelligence of he couldn't even follow the most basic texting while driving rule. If anything Tabitha is the one we owe our sympathy for, she was completely helpless and died from someone's negligence. That officer was responsible for her safety. I also have to question why both of their bodies weren't found in the vehicle, since it seems as the deputies body was found somewhere in the water. Which tells me that once he crashed into the water he freed himself and tried to resurface, so he would've been perfectly content with leaving that woman to die by his own actions. And all the department had to say was they miss one of their own. Which proves LEOs care more about themselves and thet their rights are more important than the people whose supposed to have less rights than them. If not for Tabby's loved ones she would not be receiving the same support. I have no remorse for that potentially crooked cop, good riddance. As for Tabby Smith by deepest sympathies go out to your loved ones.
@@tnaccountability7455 ok yes I just watched the presser. You think they will find the deputy? Maybe he opened the trunk while struggling to exit the car? So heartbreaking for the families.
Texting and driving and killing. Somebody is called negligent homicide and that’s what you would be talking about. If it was somebody else other than a deputy sheriff who just saw Hampden just moved here and took the wrong road. There’s no excuse.
Mind you this briefing is just right there where it happened and listen at all the texts coming through with no issue. Just like my phone from the boat ramp was just fine
In so many years, they've known that this road was Dangerous, But then Nobody did anything about it, Till one of their own is lost, and now, they want to put something to warn drivers, Like they say in Mexico AFTER THE DROWNING/ THEY COVER THE HOLE RIP to the officer And RIP to the woman handcuffed in the back cage, Poor woman she was like in a coffin with no way out.😰
Keep talking keep saying that it’s always been risky keep saying that you know that people don’t know the road that are gonna go off it well maybe you should’ve trained him on the road maybe somebody should’ve did the routes on the dangerous road are you repeating that he’s from another state yet you’re acting like he should’ve known the roads amber alert ain’t got nothing on this
The lawsuit is coming she died locked in the back set you're responsible for her safety there going to turn the story and she is at fault and a distraction bunch of crooks can't stand you cops
It’s possible the Officer got exposed to drugs unknown to him and was having a reaction to the drugs was hallucinating when he drove off in the water. The radio traffic and the text … don’t make sense. If it was a mistake, the officer would have tried to free the person in the back seat. It doesn’t make sense otherwise.

I already told them who I know is behind taking your deputies, but they don’t listen to me
I guess we're not gonna talk about the person that he had in the back of the squad car that drowned

So sad. My condolences to his family and loved ones. 🙏
I'd be wondering why he left highway 60 onto a dead end road endeding in the river at the boat ramp
That's what I wanna know. Nothing about this story makes sense
Right, you would think a deputy would be familiar with local roads..why take a backroad?
Tit for tat maybe?....strange
weird & wacky

This sounds fishy it’s almost as if his own people took him 🚫 rip deputy 😢
Strange folks around...

His body was later recovered from the river.
