The creativity has really been on point recently - and I don't just mean the "wah distortion" things that make the youtube titles, but the lines and writing too. In previous years sometimes the songs weren't feeling quite so fresh from one another but this year I really feel like Charles' writing and composition has felt elevated to a whole new level - he's shown us that somehow there was a level above where he was already at!!

I’d honestly say the wah was meant to be played with bass. That distortion combined with the wah is giving massive Call of Cthulhu vibes.

That's really cool. The sound is like liquid funk to me. With the raindrop *ploink* that resolves to a smooth grit like raining fireworks or TV static that remind me of older funk sounds.

I’m impressed that you were able to get that sick of a sound with distortion and wah while slapping. I can’t recall being able to get my playing to sound good like that, but then again I’m not Charles Berthoud.

Its not just your ability, which is incredible but your phrasing is amazing too. Ive been a musician for years started at 12 and am 51 now.
