"that it's never the person at the top that's in charge."
In fact, it's happened so many times in the Oddworld universe, that I wouldn't be surprised that no one knows who's in charge anymore, thus why a disturbingly large amount of people are basically incompetent.

Molluck planned the idea of producing gastronomic products based on the meat of his Mudokon slaves ... Personally I think that some of the leaders / Investors Glukkons who were in that meeting began to spread the concept with the other factories, although perhaps now the production that delayed due to Abe's intervention ... The bottle symbol reminds me a lot of the Vykkers and their abduction system ... Hopefully we can know what news the future of the Oddworld saga / quintology holds, it intrigues me !! Makes a lot of sense, but Scrab Cakes are already mentioned to be mass-produced in Strangers Wrath, so that would mean Rupture Farms already existed during the events of the game. Maybe a lot of these factories already existed for a long time before Sekto, but he was the one to unify them after addressing that there might be future backlash?

I could imagine him having arrived in East Mudos by travelling along the Mongo river, then working his way up in the Magog Cartel, considering he was a prominent and crafty businessman, probably with plenty of assets and money still to his name even after the destruction of Sekto Springs. He might have already had ties with them and I expect he could be very good for their profits.

Mr. Sekto going from big boss da river to big boss da cartel would be an interesting idea, but ultimately simply one that crossed my mind that I thought would be fun to explore!
Oh yeah another thing: the bottle on Sekto's logo is kind of a similar shape to SoulStorm Brew bottles in some ways, I'd say.

The other day I was watching a cut scene of the final boss fight between Stranger and Sekto, and before the fight starts, Sekto says this to Stranger:
“Now, *like your ancestors,* you will die at my hands.”
To me, Sekto apparently killing strangers “ancestors” could mean one of two things; either the “ancestors” thing refers to the previous Steef such as the Olden Steef, possibly confirming the theory some people have of Stranger and the Olden being related (with Olden either being Strangers father, grandfather or related to him in the familial sense somehow). Or (and in my opinion, the more interesting interpretation) Sekto saying Strangers ancestors “died by [his] hands” means Sekto has been killing off generations of Steef for a long time, long before Stranger showed up. implying that perhaps Octigi such as him have incredibly long lifespans. (at least, compared to other oddworld lifespans. We also don’t know how long an average Steef lifespan is)

hmmm ... this is an interesting theory! In my opinion the events of Stranger's Wrath are after the events of Abe's games, because in SoulStorm we can use water bottles and in a trophy it makes us understand that that water comes from Sekto Springs! and since Stranger destroyed the Sekto Dam we understand that the Abe games are set first in the timeline! As for the Magog cartel logos, they are simply different ways to represent them. Probably Lady Margret sent Sekto to create the Magog Cartel which then evolved with the Glukkon, then all the events of Abe's games and after those of Stranger's Wrath happened ... this theory would explain even better why the logos are so different ... because since Magog Cartel started with Sekto, First the logo was different AND THEN with Glukkons it evolved. Then Sekto and his army continued to use their own version of the logo and the Glukkons used theirs, the rest you know ... Sekto created The Dam and the Glukkons enslaved the mudokons. in the minute: 5:16 I noticed that that logo is similar to a stylized Glukkon! they have very long arms and short legs! It can be this or it can also be a stylized version of a Gloktigi! What if Sekto had helped the Gkukkons create SoulStorm Brew? umm ... maybe I'm imagining too much, but ... what if the Glukkon had sent Sekto A barrel of mudokon pops (the ones that were left after Abe stopped production) to get something in return? that would be very cool and would surely explain that mudokon pops are doing there ... Or simply because Sekto and Glukkon are allies. I don't know exactly ... what do you think, Pup? Anyway, Great video, you never let us down! 😄

I think the theory in my video is pretty much out of the question at this point (because of the Mudokon Pops, etc) but thought it'd be fun to investigate. ;) Your theories seem like they could be true, I like the idea of Lady Margaret sending Sekto to create the Magog Cartel and true what you say about the logo, it could be a Gloktigi if not a Glukkon! I forgot about the Sekto reference in Soulstorm too, good catch! You have very good ideas! :)

What if Sekto is one of these investors, because I've seen how glukkons treat other glukkons with little respect, and I don't think they are something very terrifying,Sekto on the other hand is a whole other beast altogether,he is calculating, insidious, and patient.
Unlike the glukkons who are overconfident, egotistical, and corrupt,if you notice in the end of stranger's wrath,he doesn't whine or complain about the set back,he might be infuriated, but that look he gives says," I'll keep my eye on this one in the near future",he lost the dam,but he gained information on his enemies, that makes him and others like him the most dangerous members of the Oktigi race.

With this theory in mind, this makes me think that what if Sekto had corrupted the minds of both Queen Margret and Queen Skillya into caring more about money and power morso than their own children when the Glukkons first turned against the Mudokons? In fact, teaching them about how the lives of others aren’t as valuable as money, fame and power when Sekto had created the Magog Cartel, he’s imposing and intimidating as a villain, and it feels fitting for him to create such a vast, industrial empire based around his ideals and vision, perhaps the Glukkons aren’t only scared of their mother, but even Sekto too, even Margret herself could be scared of him, and to be honest, that’s a pretty terrifying thought since we all thought she was the big bad antagonist and supreme ruler of the Cartel, only for another to be truly in charge, I mean, let’s think of it, in Exoddus, we all thought Molluck is long dead after the events of Oddysee, but, that wasn’t the case when it was revealed that he survived, in both the original and remake, so a twist like that wouldn’t be far fetched, matter of fact, Sekto in a way is almost like Dr. Claw, because of how when he’s beaten, he never really faced justice, but got away. What do you think?

Again this is what i have heard, again thanks to magog on the march from another Lorn Lanning Intervju. search on. Lorne Lanning on the Octigi Family & The Hidden Power
There he say that Sekto, is indeed part of the Oktigi and they are part of the higher food chain then the Glukkons. That the real power is hidden (the king or queen maker, the oktigi posses and make someone into something more).
You may think the Glukkons are the higher up and yes sometimes you get someone like Molluck.
But no they are part of the C-class, the business class more of a type of worker, you live, are educated and are part of the cartel. You have your role too play, your business to work and if they mess up they are dead meat.
So I think no, sekto is higher up but he is part of the cartel also.
The leader may still be a Glukkon Queen.

My theory is that the Magog cartel is active during the Stranger game. That’s why you see the Magog barrel and mudokon pops. Just because the farm is distorted doesn’t mean that they still can’t make them. I think they would make them in a smaller factory near the west maybe? Maybe they wanted to test it out before going to mass production.
I also think that Mr. Sekto was either in charge or a really powerful person within the Cartel. I believe that he was hiding out in the west while managing the cartel. The water business would be a front so that no one would question it. Plus making extra moolah.

The thing with cartels, is that they’re never owned by one person. The whole point of them is that they’re competing groups in an alliance with one another and doing their best to not be at war. Tony Montana was just one leader working with(and against others) in the cartel in Scarface. The reason why there’s always someone above you too, is because the corporate world functions like a loop regarding authority. The CEO answers to the board of directors and the BoD answers to the investors, but the investors can often be employees working for other companies. It’s not so much about there being a big bad behind everything. It could be different in this universe, but I’d prefer I’d it didn’t have one big bad pulling the strings behind everything and had various different authority figures competing against each other.
