These are usually DoS attacks, basically distributed denial of service (DDoS) without the use of multiple computers or a botnet. I have a TP-Link Archer A10 with a built-in DoS filter, I only have one IP in my DoS blacklist so far...
dude i've had people try ddosing me on ps3 when i was using a 50 mbps connection and it took like 10 minutes for it finally lag me offline. It was hilarious

Black Ops 2 is filled with a lot of cheaters. Black Ops 1 is so dead that you would spend 10 minutes trying to find a lobby. Not a lot of cheaters on Black Ops 1 anymore. I'd say buying Black Ops 1 would be worth your time but it's up to you. Wish I could confidently say it's better to wait until they remaster these games. Lol.
Try the modded black ops on pc it's alot more clean and has more features than the console version if you really wanna play black ops 1 or 2 without mods

You are entirely mistaken on the legality of modified hardware. Selling a RGH is not selling Microsofts IP "as your own", its selling it as it is. Microsofts Xbox but modified.
