GoT combat is designed for everyone. Ronin and every Team Ninja game is much more complex thus def more interesting. Sure, GoT looks pretty, but that’s all. I barely made myself to finish it.

At first I thought the combat was very hard but once you get into it, it's very good. Really loving this at the moment.
same, it wasnt clicking at first, i was trying to play it like nioh 2, but once i figured out the deflect and ki management it really clicked and the combat is so satisfying now.

Same here, I had about an hour where I almost started to hate it, but then I got it and it got a lot more exciting, especially when you get to the glider level

Game is really good , don't listern to the negative reviews , Quick tips , go into settings and turn on auto pick up , shortern R1 hold time , Assassin assist , Turn both Camera movements to 7/10 (Default is 5/10) and Turn off Chromatic Abbv. , Believe me these little tips will make the Game alot smoother !
Auto disassemble is a must for me. You get so many items in this game it helps limit how much stuff is in your inventory while getting you resources automatically.

Word! I feel Fex and Fighting Cowboy are the best at game systems, builds and really loving a game to give great objective feedback unless they specifically they're biased. Definitely my favorite two.

Man so many people were complaining before the game even released about how the game's graphics don't look good so the game had to be ass, I hope they regret talking crap on a game thats actually fun. It doesn't look great but its not even THAT bad, also graphics aren't what team ninja was ever known for. This is how you know gamers in general are truly spoiled, expecting every game to look like ghost of tsushima, marvels spiderman or last of us. If your able to get past the stupid notion that graphics mske or break a game, this game tho alittle janky can be fun, and it is one of those games that you end up putting time into without realizing. The worlds sorted in a way to where you will naturally come across stuff as you make your way to the next main objective so it becomes a "oh I might as well do this, its not that far" plus the combat is enjoyable and have a pretty rewarding feel as the impact of slashes as well as the critical hits are so satisfying. It does get challenging at times even on easy because npcs WILL gang up on you, however once you learn to move around the field even that get so much easier to handle. Ots not a perfect game far from it, but its still super enjoyable. I just wanna end this off by sayin to just learn to buy games because YOU want to enjoy them, instead of buying based on general appeal.

There was a really odd bias towards this game. Im a lil bit older and been gaming 3.5yrs now and I cannot believe how toxic some of the community is.
I'm so glad I ignored the drama queens and negative Nancy's.
Ronin is actually one of my new favorite games and it really shines after 2 hours. The graphics aren't that bad at all. Just a lil less detail to favor its awesome performance.
So many people want others to be miserable just because they don't have a Playstation, or picked DD2, or just hate people enjoying something they don't like.

@@cowel8734Haters are just everywhere in every game. Even Dragons Dogma 2 is already getting hate. You really cannot please e everyone. But I am having a blast with Rise of the Ronin coz it has the Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh formula combined (but not as brutal as Nioh 2).
All of the "gameplay over graphics" crowd absolutely fucking disappeared for this game lmao. I am seriously pissed at some youtubers i used to respect for shitting on this game and basically killing its launch
Tru idk why people always expect a game with excellent graphics when combat and other stuff is more important than wandering and viewing landscapes...
Been playing this game on my PS5 and Dragon Dogma on my
PC today….Both games have their own strengths and weaknesses but gotta say I been having fun with both…..Loved Nioh’s combat and I love samurai themed games so its a win/win for me….Rise of the Ronin doesn’t even look as bad as they say…Its not mind blowing but not bad in the slightest….
I dont understand some of the reviewers saying all you do is mash Square. This game combat have depht and you can do alot of cool combos in it, including weapon swaps. Guess those reviewers are just bad at playing it. Ty for the video btw, top tier content as always.

I'm glad i picked up Rise of the ronin. Not to draw comparisons necessarily, but Ronin has much better combat than GOT in my opinion.

Sometimes it feels like reviews (especially unfavorable ones) have an unfortunate domino effect where people start to dislike a game only because someone else has disliked it. I have 20 hours in and absolutely love the game. Also the combat feels very rewarding and dexterous after I’ve got a hang of it.

Yea one people see igns reviews and they give it their usual 7 they bash the game. The game has to be a 9 for them in order to even touch the game.
This is such a wonderful game! The combat is extremely engaging and they really nailed the parry mechanics. I can't think of a good reason to dislike this game other than not being into close combat action rpgs. Its visuals are really good, a lot better than what Team Ninja usually does. Combat is great as always. Even the story is more exciting than usually. Sure, open world games are not everybody's piece of cake and you have the occasional fetch quests but most quests I've done so far are loaded with action.

This is the closest spiritual successor to Way of the Samurai and I love it. People should not be comparing this game to Ghost Tsushima. Way of the Samurai/Tenchu all the way!

Decided to order this instead of DD2. Looking forward to it.
Same, and so glad I did. Its instantly fun. I had about 30min where combat felt overwhelming and I started to think the game might suck, then I learned it and after the first 2 hours, It really picks up and is addicting
DD2 is awesome though too
@@therazor9927 It does look awesome but I found Monster hunters end game hard to grasp so I am worried it will be like rhat. Also it looks like rhe reason there aren't many fast travel points because they want people to pay the price of microtransactions. So Rise of the Ronin looks better for me for now.

I made Vergil as my created male character and they absolutely give you the tools to do it on purpose. I finished making it zoomed out and said damn that’s perfect. But realized after they totally give you the tools to make all sorts of different characters from video games. It was definitely a choice and not just me being creative like I thought I was at first haha

Love the gameplay and mechanics! You really get a feel of Ghost of Tsushima and a little of Nioh. The game is so engaging that I decided to give Helldivers 2 a break. 😁
I am really enjoying the game. Sure, the graphics can be touched up, but the combat makes me want to keep playing. I am not a souls-bourne player, but this game somehow is really pushing me to learn the system
this is not a soulslike game. the fact is has difficulty settings alone disqualifies it.
The story is amazing so far and the bonds are good addition...im having a hard time with the combat but so far so good !!

Playing this game and I’m really enjoying it. Loving it and this guy starts out saying not to explore starting out is a fool. No start out exploring and clearing out the first area and the second area. You fine a lot of loot that will help you out early in the game. Also helps you level up to face harder enemies. I think people hating on this game either never played a RPG open world game like RDR and fallout. if they did they hated them too. Also they are people who found the game is hard to play. Great game open world RPG. You feel Badass after beating each enemy you face. Also your origin isn’t set in stone. It can be changed to fit your fighting style.
If you like samurai genre this is the game for you (and ghost of Tsushima). Game is not perfect but nonetheless it’s dope. 🔥🔥🔥
I love this game it’s open world nioh with samurai’s I never finished nioh because it gets repetitive after a while but this is always fresh and I like it.
Normal is tough, straight up. Don’t feel bad for dropping the difficulty, easy might make it a little more enjoyable. Also if your struggling, maybe try straight blocking over counter spark. Finished the game last night and I really enjoyed this game, so much depth, options and things to do, really hope it comes to PC eventually!!!
Rise of the ronin reminds me of way of the samurai. I loved that series, and might enjoy rise of the ronin.
My fellow gamers who will get this game , just do everything before going to the next region. Do all your bond missions, fugitives , cats , shrines , go to gliding school, also if you see a white banner , with an exclamation point help them out, your ronin level will increase . Always go to longhouse to talk to Allie’s and give them gifts . I’m level 25 still in Yokahoma chapter 1.

I killed gonzo lol . I’m a level 25 in chapter one . Make sure get that ninja guidan stance too. Best stance in the game . You should get it before you go to the next region .

I’m loving the combat and I like to play my games instead of looking at them. Glad to see a game where the devs actually focused on the gameplay as opposed other fluff like story and visuals. That said the story is interesting and it looks decent enough. But the combat is where it’s at
The 1st season theme was the best! I remember looking forward to season 2. But when the 1st episode began and the theme had be changed I was really disappointed.

I’m not sure why all the haters keeps saying the graphics are bad and the horse looks goofy… I think the game looks great and the horse animations looks great as well… it’s amazing, we have these fun, well put together games and folks still complain about this and that. I’ll be over here enjoying the game 😂

I killed Gonzo's ass immediately. I can't help it when you go through the stage and see all the unnecessary dead bodies he and his crew left. Still, I wish I had known that. I do know you can replay levels later and change decisions with some book.

Does the game feel like its wafting on a DLC for end game to get the best builds and perks like Nioh 2 and Wo Long? I loved Wo long but hated that end game felt so empty until ALL 3 DLCs hit. I would rather wait for DLCs if it feels that way again.

yeah i think Ghost of Tsushima wasn't so complex to get into. It started so brilliantly and wasn't that overwhelming compared to Ronin. after playing Ghost, Ronin isn't that great...

as someone who has put hundreds of hours into Nioh 2 (I also played Nioh 1 a lot) and has also played Wo Long, i hate the counterspark system even though i love the combat mechanics. I get it off from time to time but, i find the parry timings to be super annoying.

playing the game the sensation it transmits is not 60 fps, even if it maintains it most of the time. There is something wrong that gives the combat a feeling of lack of smoothness and fluidity almost as if you were playing at 40 fps rather than 60.
