London based but finding myself taking a look at the larger German market where a number of VCs there seem to understand great things in the long term can be achieved (from scratch) through larger pre-seed placements.
Setting out to disrupt big-tech incumbents with head-counts in the double-digit thousands while also securing the runway needed to go from pre-seed to early revenues is a 5m initial ticket situation.
Consolidating each of consumer ⌞Leisure⌝ and business ⌞Work⌝ separately but through a unified common services super-architecture is the xx-billion dollar gambit that will seem obvious to everyone in 2027.
How to find a VC that gets this now so I can tell my FAANG boss I’m off to go and engineer his biggest headache.

Less and larger pre-seed investments is a general trend across all geographies. It makes sense for larger multi-stage funds to fund heavily early.
