Thanks man definitely want to get into HVAC, I'm a high school teacher, and dont want to do that anymore, willing to work all the overtime too, to get money and get out of debt, one thing I wont do is residential
No one likes climbing in attics! Ha ha. I have done residential HVAC, light commercial and restaurants, and now doing industrial ammonia refrigeration. My two stage system has 7 compressors 700 hp each double screws with 68k pounds of ammonia. I recommend staying away from ammonia. Seen couple people already get hurt, luckily not killed yet. I want to get into rack refrigeration eventually but can't do the overtime and on call yet. Once the kids are older I'll be looking for sure to get back into the halocarbon side again.
I did the associates program at rsi and I wanna work with chillers and boilers but all those positions are asking for people with years and years of experience and personally I don’t feel comfortable goin at it alone either so any advice on companies that would be willing to give me a shot?
I’m 17 and am working at a company as an install helper, go with install for a little while and get the feel of it and save up to get proper schooling. That’s the best way to get into all that in my opinion
