Bru she literally went from assuming the salesperson roles To “uh like I said let me get u a sales person” damn caught slackin on the job Man y’all didn’t even understand what I meant
Personally my interpretation of this was that when she says at the beginning "I'd be happy to help, how can I assist you" she's not trying to pretend she's sales like some comments suggest, she's trying to say 'yeah I'll put you through to sales, what do you need to talk to them about?' She's analysing the lead and will use the info to designate where that call goes so that no one's time gets wasted. That's also why she references having already told him she'd put him though to sales. She's also clearly thrown off by something at the beginning, maybe he's come through to the wrong department, maybe something is happening in person at the office who knows. Probably this is why she's not entirely clear with him.
In almost all the companies I worked for there were a lot of instances where customers were calling sales reps looking for some warranty/ troubleshooting/ support in general. I feel like she did the assessment of the situation and passed the opportunity to sales instead of wasting the sales rep time on warranty call.
It depends on what you're role is. If you are a normal person or a sales person than you think she did absolutely the right thing. Making sure the sales teams time was not wasted... If you are the owner or above her, then she did the wrong thing. She's wasting the customers time. The customer already thinks they are talking to the sales person, some people have short fuses, and that can be enough to lose the deal. She didn't do the wrong thing, she was absolutely right. She asked what she could help with first. Got the information and was ready to pass it on. He's saying she is wrong because he is the latter, the rich owner. Time is money. The world is fucked up.

I think she handled it well up to where she knew how to handle it when this man said 200 windows and that if they are expensive yeah that throws the conversation off the general direction
Wasting peoples time to prove a training point. The reason there is someone vetting calls/leads is to ensure the sales person doesn’t waste valuable time on dummy calls like these.
It really depends on the number he called. Was it meant to go to sales or was it the main co. line like what you’d find if you google the co./store name? If it’s the latter, then the next question is whether the co. employee picking up the call is meant to handle sales or just gather info to then provide to sales. There is nothing wrong with either case, it just depends on what business you’re in and what’s expected.
She said as I mentioned at the beginning of this call let me patch you in with a salesperson. Even though when he asked for a salesperson she said she could help him.
When he asked for a salesperson she said she could handle it and then was kinda snarky with the “as I said in the beginning” when she, in fact, did not say that in the beginning.
As a salesman, she did not handle that well. Also, as someone with 7yrs in customer service, she did not do a good job. Finally, as someone with a degree in human resource management, she did not do a good job.
I agree, when I call suppliers for our company I hate it more than anything when you have to leave ur number blah blah and no one ever calls back anyway. The ones who win supply deals r those who give u all the answers the moment they pickup
The first thing he asked was to get with a salesperson. She found out some information about what his deal was and then she fulfilled his request. Then he puts the lady down to his audience. What an asshole.
What I got out of that was “Do you mind if I …” “Sure!” ( a positive response that actually implies that he doesn’t mind. When did this become a conventional norm?)
Yes see how far that will get you 😂 if you’ve ever worked a call center/sales job it doesn’t work that way. She seemed newish but any experienced rep will say “I’d be happy to get you over to a sales representative, first do you mind if I get your name and number, and the reason for the call?” Because they need to filter out the bullshit
Not really, she didn’t answer any legitimate questions and companies like that never put a averaged price for the products on their websites, then complain you called and asked because you “didn’t give them business” yeah not with how you treat someone prospecting to buy and weighing options.
Most people expected the first person who answers the call to know everything, i’m one of them. But dude, that’s why there are receptionist as a job 😅. Btw, she did tremendous job to explain in her own terms.

And there lies the problem. Someone judging another person who has no clue what that other person's job is. There's no possible chance she can give you any kind of estimate over the phone. It's not possible and it would be extremely irresponsible for her to attempt to do that. I own a heating and cooling business and I get calls all the time of people calling me asking me how much it would cost to have their AC replaced or their furnace replaced or their water heater replaced. And my answer is always what's your address? What's a good contact number? When can I be out to give you a quote? Every job is different so every job has to be looked at before you can give an accurate assessment.
I worked at apex energy solutions in Charlotte for 3 months. Door to door trying to sell windows. Fucking nightmare. I did eventually get 1 sale. The guy was a preacher and he said if I went to his church youth group one day he would have an appointment with our sales guy. I went to the event they played music, fed me BBQ then the guy bought a $20,000 worth of windows
If they payed her well enough to be that good then it would be a different story… likely you are talking to someone who’s barely scraping by making 12.50 an hour
If they are barely scraping by, it’s because of a loser mentality. Sitting around doing a bad job because you want more. I want more, and I’m not magically getting more, so I will do less and do a bad job and be negative.
I remember being a sales rep for a siding company and I tried to get information on what I was selling and they were only give me the basics because I was not there to sell the product but to get a meeting with the sales rep every time we gained a meeting with the sales rep. It would be a bonus, but it would be hard because I didn’t know nothing about the product.
She didn't lie, that's exactly what she did. Got the information needed and was ready to pass it on to a sales rep. Is that not the definition of helping? She could have just said "Sorry this isn't sales and hung up" It like when you go to a car dealership and you talk to the salesman, who has to go talk to his boss, who has to go talk to his boss, and you end up waiting for 3 hours for something that should only take a few minutes.
She straight said she was fully capable of helping him then flips on him in the middle of the call.. if you don't have theknowledge of the business and know how to sale you should stay on the side lines and learn from the professionals.
No. You step aside.. If you actually knew sales or business, you'd understand that not every product is the same. She did perfectly fine and did her job.
🤡. She said she can 'help' him, not that she's the salesperson. She qualified whether he was asking in order to buy or if it was a different matter, once she did that she helped him by trying to get him across to the sales person. Wtf are you smoking?
Having people who pick up your phone “virtual assistant” whatever you wanna call it that have no clue about your business or pricing is a danger zone. The customers emotions are running high on the call the faster you get them to a number and to a deposit with a scheduled service date the faster you will close . No one ever picks up there phone these days and everyone hates when they can’t get instant gratification. That instant reply with numbers hits the dopamine!!!
All of you guys are talking crap about grant having no idea the guy is literally one of the best sales people alive. The girl was terrible. Ill say it. The question I'm used to getting is 'How much money am I going to save with these windows?" These windows are going to MAKE you money, in under 6 months time, the amount of money you save on heating/cooling your house, the only regret you're going to have is that you hadn't made this purchase years ago! Let me ask you this, how many windows do you have in your house? How many opportunities do you have to SAVE money?" BLAH BLAH BLAH you get the idea.

Cold calling my customer's business was a nerve-wracking experience, but the rewarding conversations and potential opportunities made it worthwhile.
Who ever cut this one into a short did an outstanding job and captured the very essence of this call 🎉❤ very nice
Well it was his team so I would hope so lol
@@litmusaero9660 lol true
This is from business bootcamp weekend. What a awesome program 🎉
It must be just me then.., I can’t understand what was wrong and what he suggests to do differently.
😂 he was like wait a minute that’s my number
Someone out there is calling all 64,000 different 4 digit combinations to figure out his number
6196 are the last 4 numbers. The intelligent folk of reddit figured it out in about an hour with a dialer script and voice recognition software. You’re welcome.
I have been in sales and management for years...we have a solution for you...this is great..solution..key word
Hmm, she generates that lead, check if its cold or hot, then forwards it to the closer.
One thing they dont teach you in school: everyone is in sales, does not matter if you are in legal, finance, or engineering, you are also in sales
Or at a job interview or a date. We are all selling ourselves.
Bro wanting the receptionist to sell him 500k in windows.
I think she handled it well up to where she knew how to handle it when this man said 200 windows and that if they are expensive yeah that throws the conversation off the general direction
She did her damn job, she got the number which is what she is required to solicit
Wasting peoples time to prove a training point. The reason there is someone vetting calls/leads is to ensure the sales person doesn’t waste valuable time on dummy calls like these.
She handed him very well, but I know what he means and is legit advice too.
Her entire job is literally just qualifying your lead.
She did it.
Imagine Lou watching this 😂
Apex is an awesome company. We hired them to replace 15 windows in the house i recently purchased. Great quality and customer service
Super cool, Always helping, powerful content, Lot of ❤ great Leader. Thank you Grant for all your support 🎉❤
Nah man she did great. We’re human beings, not robots 🤖
As a salesperson let me tell you she did not do great.
@@chronickk_392 lol shes not a sales person though
@@jrp.r0290 She did terrible regardless of her title.
She said as I mentioned at the beginning of this call let me patch you in with a salesperson. Even though when he asked for a salesperson she said she could help him.
why she said she could help him when he asked for a sales person ?
@@jrp.r0290
They say when salesperson sucks, they either change profession or become motivational speakers.
i thought she handled that pretty well? why does everything require a critique
Because it’s business
critique is the cause of evolution, its good and needed even when something is perfect
Because it’s the difference between making the sale and not. Once you’ve done sales you will undersrand
Mr Grant Cardone Ji thank you for sharing this useful video message 🙏
I agree, when I call suppliers for our company I hate it more than anything when you have to leave ur number blah blah and no one ever calls back anyway. The ones who win supply deals r those who give u all the answers the moment they pickup
Love the planned calls
Yea Can I talk to a sales person. then She Go I Can HELP U THEN go I CAN GET YOU A SALES PEOPLE
Alright RUclips do your thing we only have 4 numbers left
Was this a completely random business, not a predetermined person in the crowd called upon who's got a rehearsed response?
Yes
She saved a lot of swearing from the sales people, she’s making sure it’s legit because passing on the lead
The first thing he asked was to get with a salesperson. She found out some information about what his deal was and then she fulfilled his request. Then he puts the lady down to his audience. What an asshole.
What I got out of that was
“Do you mind if I …”
“Sure!” ( a positive response that actually implies that he doesn’t mind. When did this become a conventional norm?)
Gotta hit her with the “so you handle all pricing and your the main decision maker, correct?” make her break rq
What did I just read
Awesome lmao
Yes see how far that will get you 😂 if you’ve ever worked a call center/sales job it doesn’t work that way. She seemed newish but any experienced rep will say “I’d be happy to get you over to a sales representative, first do you mind if I get your name and number, and the reason for the call?” Because they need to filter out the bullshit
As a salesperson, I HATED my calls being screened. Just send them my way. Even if I dont sell something to them, they have friends and family.
She choked
She did incredible. I thought she WAS the salesperson
No way he complained about that call. She did amazing in my opinion
I absolutely hate it when receptionist can't give me a deal with better discount.
She was really good lol
Grant has one of the most extreme cases of short man syndrome I’ve ever seen.
Tf 😆, you do realise that you are worth nothing right Brokie 😂😂
I think he's like 5'9 and 170 pounds according to Google lol
Is he even short?
@@mhxxd4 bro when a short man succeeds they call him an over compensator. When a tall man succeeds they tell it's cuz of his height. All of these NPCs are dorks 🤣
@@pranavjayaprakasanutcalling humans npc’s is really weird. Dehumanizing people as means to express that you understand them and what they do, is extremely ironic. If you weren’t being ironic, then it’s not likely that you’re very bright.
She did an aw😂some job! Really! She did. This guy is just “oh, I’m one up!”
Lul a great filter - I can handle it (probably 1 set of windows - no big deal "
200? Get him the sales person trained in it
😂that was hilarious. I would regonize Grant if he called me.
Grant we're a rare bread when it comes to Sales...i bet her boss never got that message 😂😂😂
He is nothing compared to Jordan Belfort
Y’all undercooked bread?
A lot of front desk people are not allowed to give pricing on products. She did the job correctly
Fake call.. woow, she actually was told to stress the words sales people at the end , to emphasize his point 😂😂
People like him call my help desk all the time most even ask to speak with a manager….. then I click!
😂
I remember being a sales rep for a siding company and I tried to get information on what I was selling and they were only give me the basics because I was not there to sell the product but to get a meeting with the sales rep every time we gained a meeting with the sales rep. It would be a bonus, but it would be hard because I didn’t know nothing about the product.
That sounded good to me on her part. This guy will bash a person no matter what.
Great to hear this
except that she lied saying she could help, then passed him to a salesman..
She didn't lie, that's exactly what she did. Got the information needed and was ready to pass it on to a sales rep. Is that not the definition of helping? She could have just said "Sorry this isn't sales and hung up"
It like when you go to a car dealership and you talk to the salesman, who has to go talk to his boss, who has to go talk to his boss, and you end up waiting for 3 hours for something that should only take a few minutes.
In the beginning he asked to speak to a salesperson "please".
True grit...
She did perfectly. I don’t think they get many calls about 200 odd windows often so she obviously wanted the best they have to assist you
She straight said she was fully capable of helping him then flips on him in the middle of the call.. if you don't have theknowledge of the business and know how to sale you should stay on the side lines and learn from the professionals.
She’s not a salesperson he was saying she should’ve handled it like a salesperson 😂
Everybody should be a salesperson
But she did good tho
Where he calls exacly?
Her voice seams like one of lady worki g for him
She clearly says Apex Energy Solutions. Pay attention...
Ill say it. Yeah, she wasn't a sales person but come on, how EASY was that answer?
"Are they expensive?"
"Well expensive is a relative term"
STOP STOP STOP STOP.
I don't have any windows sales experience but the obvious answer,
"ABSOLUTELY NOT. Sir, *laugh* you're asking me if these windows are expensive. How many opportunities do you have to SAVE money?"
BLAH BLAH BLAH you get the idea.
