I am so excited to share my review of the new! Parfums De Marly VALAYA perfume.

A radiant aura and yet, an impalpable softness. This elegant floral-musky-woody fragrance created by Julien Sprecher is a unique play on codes, materials and subtle contrasts. An evocation of the skin caressed by a veil of cotton. Fresh top notes as bergamot, mandarin and sweet white peach, lead to a blend of white flowers, settling on musk and ambrofix sensual base notes.

Hi Abby, I remember that fragrance "Valaya" when I walked to the perfume store with my girlfriend weeks ago. It is obviously expensive but they offer discount price so I decided that time to buy for her. She was happy and asked permission to apply my neck from her hand. I don't know why, so I let her apply because I have to respect her happiness. She did it gently to press that liquid 3 times on my neck. This was the first time I experienced the scent of a woman and you are right the opening is outstanding. I will never forget it so I decided to share my story with you about what happened. Fab hair; your colorist did such a great job! This sounds like it might be reminiscent of Chanel 1957 (which I love), what do you think? Either way, sounds really lovely. I will probably pick up a sample of this for when Spring, well springs. It’s very cold here in Northern Virginia, snow tomorrow likely, and I am still reveling in gourmands.

I love your new hairdo, it looks so fresh for spring and summer! I have been thinking about getting mine cut and it is the length, or a little longer than yours was. My only question is it still long enough to put in a low ponytail or up? Living here in the south during the spring and summer I have to get it off my neck! This is literally the shortest hair I have had in decades!! BUT you won't need it off your neck if you twin with me. Nice and airy haircut! AND I do know that you will like this one. Thanks for sharing another great video! Question: not that they smell alike, but do you like Valaya or Initio Musk Therapy for a clean-like, mushy, citrusy fragrance (regarding scent profile and performance)?
So they truly are a bit different. Initio is more of a fruity musk (I adore it!) and Valaya is definitely more of the CLEAN soft florl musk and as far as performance - I would say Initio is a stronger frag but Valaya has some nice staying power! It lasted a good to 6-8 hours on me. I hope this helps. xoxo
I just had my hair chopped too! It must be that time of year? I was eager to hear your opinion on this before taking the plunge. I rarely make through an entire bottle. I wish they had introduced this in two sizes.

Thanks for the review abby. How is it different from fleur narcotique and Ormonde jayne levant?
So I have both of those perfumes as well. I would say that this Valaya is definitely more AIRY, ETHEREAL- than those two. Fleur has that bit of a sharp note and I find Levant to be more jammy floral. This one is more floaty- cottony- less floral forward. Does this make sense? xoxo

I’m dying to sample this as I too love PDM! Does it remind you for MFK 724? I didn’t love that one, and some of the notes look similar
So it is in that same realm of MKF 724 but much more feminine. Less- clean - more soft pillowy airy floral with a nice musky dry down. I prefer Valaya. I hope this helps. xoxo
Here to ask the same question because I don’t like 724 and not into laundry scent.
@@Beautyboss22 I was able to smell Valaya this weekend, and imo, they are NOT alike. I instantly liked Valaya, and never liked 724. 724 is too laundry, while Valaya is a fresh, airy, scent with peach and vanilla in back ground. It’s fresh but sweet somehow. It reminds me of JM Necartine honey and blossom slightly. Not as peachy
I keep doing a double take on your shorter hair. Ha ha. This is the scone one. I watched them backwards. Ha ha I see. I missed this one and the one after ?? But wow. ❤❤❤❤ I prefer long hair. But it’s so cute. My hair is to waist. Really thin. It’s straight so I throw it up. If I cut it short. It’ll be flat. This perfume sounds like my. Floral fruit light

I was all excited about this one until I saw it had ambroxan and people on Fragrantica are saying they can smell the ambroxan strongly. That's one of those 'notes' that I just can't stomach, is seemingly in every designer scent and now even invading niche fragrances. I'll still try to find a sample if I can, but I'm so disappointed to see that note over and over in nearly every composition's base.
Oh bummer! I am so sorry that note doesn't agree with you. I would say - I do smell it but it dissipates pretty quickly on me. Keep me posted on what you think once you get to smell it. xoxo
