What type of tape was that ?

Plumbers tape. There’s a plumbers tape meant for gas lines that is yellow. It’s way easier to adapt but both are great

Do you burnish the matrix before applying liquid dam?

Sometimes I will hold them across but I try not to burnish bands. You normally add irregularities

Any plumbing supply store. It’s plumbers tape. They make a yellow one meant for gas lines. That one seems easier to handle to me
