But we must respect our mom for who they are regardless of whether we like them or we don't like them. My relationship with my parents is not rlly close either but I still respect them.

Also I want to note one thing whether children cares about their parents when they r older will also rely a lot of how the parents treat them as well as long as u r reasonable sure they will give back to u but again when we give birth there is always a gamble where there is a risk of them not giving back to the society.
