They are really versatile band, as you noticed, even in one song they can do big transitions to different style of music. When listening, I recommed to do some mix between studio versions and live shows. They are an excellent live band. Few recommendations to start with, having some different styles and eras from their music: - Fade to Black. Heavy and beautiful ballad with deep sad message, one of their classics. Studio version is recommended, you can hear the guitar solo fully, as it's voted high on some best guitar solo ever votes. You propably would like. - Creeping Death, definitely live from Moscow 1991. Legendary concert from Russia, with over 1 million people in the audience. Excellent heavy metal song with nice solo. Nearly unmatched energy of the band and the show. - The Call of Ktulu, Munich, Germany August 23, 2019 live version. Bit different, pure instrumental piece. It's worth to focus on bass doing some interesting stuff, kinda representing the beast in the background. - Unforgiven. Actually it's a trilogy, you can find parts I, II and III. They share some similarities, but have bit different perspectvie on lyrics. Beautiful emotional songs. Studio version recommended for this. - Fight Fire with Fire. Live from Brazil 2022, their very recent show. Example of their current performance, example of how they still rock even being near 60 years old. - Battery, live from Seattle 1989. One of their fastest songs, example of their trash style when they were still young, as a contrast to the previous suggestion. And many more... I hope to see you enjoying these!
