35 years Jenny! 35 years since you were last there. I get there at least 3 times a year and I live in the deepest south of the country now! Oh well it is great to see you all there on this most amazing heritage railway (my favourite as it happens). My layout is based on it well it had to be for me. Great video can't wait for the next episode (just seen it has been released off there now)
Great video and grand to see you all together like that. I hope you have remembered all the information the Ticket Inspector had. Some right archaic construction went on to get from one side to the other. If any one ever says "Why Trains?", the reply has to be, "Let's see how else one ton can be moved 100 yards up hill". Cracking day out and a penny off £50 for a Summer Pass? Great video and great project. Looking forward to Part 2. Cheers Jenny!
I bet it was a great laugh with all you guys together. Miss the NYMR been a difficult 12 months with mum starting with alzheimer's so I haven't been able to go far so missed visiting heritage lines this year. Enjoyed the video nice to see how it all started look forward to part 2 ☺️ 👍 🚂
Most of the steam drivers at the Epping Ongar Railway became well heat tanned!! I wouldn’t say sun tanned, because hardly any sunlight got into the cabs!!
This Black 5 was once named 'Magpie' by and after the children's TV show Magpie around the same time that the Class A2 'Blue Peter' was named aby and after the Blue Peter program.. A great 'behind the scenes' video of the TMC challenge video which I enjoyed watching too. So will there be a 'behind the scenes' showing video 'behind the scenes' of the a making of this one this one ? 😂

By my recollection, this type of coal wagon was called a hopper wagon. I had a model of one on my very first layout!!
Brilliant video, Absolutely magnificent RUclips Channel.
Hi Jenny, what a fantastic idea. Looking forward to the series...
Regards Kevin
Watched the TMC video last night very interesting challenge that reminded me of another great model railway challenge that was on TV.
Brilliant video for part one. Love the NYMR 👍
What was the TMC Challenge? I might be up for it!!
It is a competition being run by TMC similar to Great Model Railway Challenge.
Brilliant video
I found it interesting/amusing that the white-painted gate that Lawrie was waffling on about had the Admiralty 'Broad Arrow' markings on it! 🙂
Nice one Jenny :) Lovely lines ent she!
Lovely lines ent she! ;)
Cats are adorable but difficult to herd, so I definitely empathise with not wanting to herd them.
Good luck to you all. I was surprised at how small the flanges were on the wheels of that large steam engine.
Great stuff Captain Jenny 🫡
I thought you were the captain! Wasn't that why you're kneeling with Lawrie for the group shot in the short?
@ 🤣🤣if I was, it was only in name 😘

Isn't that just getting burned?
@ I suspect so, Jenny!! See you on Monday evening on the Monday Club.

The Class 37 is my favourite diesel locomotive!! They have one at the Epping Ongar Railway in which I had a birthday cab ride a few years ago!!
I think it might be a locomotive like Blue Peter. I think it’s called the Patriot Class, similar to the Unknown Warrior.
So you did listen to the ticket inspector, but on the recording.
I knew TMC's narration was a script, such rascals.
We've all got different interpretations of the events. It's going to be fun seeing everyone's videos. :)
