That dance scene in the bathroom is Joker coming to terms of what he did on the train and that he's not remorseful about killing those guys on the train. Even though it was self-defense.
It was self defense when the guys were on the train and beating him, but when he decided to chase down the guy and gun him down in the back, then it wasn't.

If someone hit you first and you hit back which knocks them out, would you continue to hit them and potentially kill them? Maybe, but that would be considered murder because they’re not a threat anymore.

One of the things I loved about this scene was the way Arthur briefly points the gun at his own head while he's freaking out after killing the two execs. It really shows you just how confused and dissociated he is, for a second he genuinely isn't sure if he's 'supposed' to kill himself or not.
The first two guys was him defending himself, but then the last guy, he hunts him down just for fun/revenge. Dancing in bathroom is very "Drunk with power" kind of vibe.

@@Mayan_88694 they're both criminals. They started the fight, he defended himself, the guys stopped and ran away to avoid getting shot, it would have been over. Self defense has limits.

@@Mayan_88694 when you shoot someone attacking you, it's self defense. Chasing after someone and killing him isn't classified as self defense, that's murder. He didn't have the intentions of protecting his immediate person, he was willingly in persuite of the person with intention to kill.
@@VforVictory00 no it isn’t murder, because he was a threat to his life a minute ago, he doesn’t get to run away after the tables have turned on him, if joker let him get away, he’d simply report him to law enforcement and claim that some guy in clown make up murdered all his friends. So no, it’s not murder, it’s self defense, don’t even try to defend criminals.
@@Mayan_88694 no one's defending the guys. they're just saying that the first 2 was self defense because they were actively harming him. But the guy who fled was not a threat ANYMORE. He may have been earlier, and he could've been shot earlier, and that would have been self defense. But he wasn't actively harming Arthur anymore.
If someone hits you, you hit them back, knock their ass out, then you don't continue beating them up, because they are not a threat anymore, as much as you may want to beat them up. That's the law. Morality aside
