Rohail: "It's the 90s and rock era, do I stand behind a keyboard ?" so he hired a keyboardist and made himself useless with an electro-acoustic guitar to play rhythms. He could've done magic in a live performance esp song like Do Pal Ka Jeewan which has a very distinct keyboard section in it.
I always preferred the awesome keyboards in this song but this setup also works really well. Is the interview from which you sourced the quote available?

@@CarazyDiamond As good as it sounds, the original keyboard based sound of vital signs was outdated, even by 90s standards. This is much better.
Something is so off abt this.. that blurry af PTV live show that seems from the 80s has better bass n sound than this video.
