  • U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack jets and HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters work together and conduct combat search and rescue (CSAR) training during exercise Red Flag-Alaska 21 out of Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska on June 15, 2021. Red Flag-Alaska is the premier Pacific Air Forces exercise designed to integrate U.S. Military branches and Allied forces to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures, while improving interoperability. Units - 25th Fighter Squadron - 210th Rescue Squadron

    Watching the A-10's do their thing from the Pave Hawk was freaking amazing.

      You should see the Warthog as it screams in to sanitize the area as we vector them in.
      Just another day at the office.

    I've been trying to get photos of the A-10s over my house all week. They're probably my favorite part of the RFAK exercises, since the O/A-10s got transferred off Eielson in the 90's when my dad worked on them.

    It's really hard to see just how intense the elevations are between even 500 meters of terrain there from the air. The poor bastard evading on the ground would have a hell day.

    I think the new era American army has become too clumsy due to too much technology and too tactical movements. It seems to me that the soldiers cannot make as many practical moves as they should during a real conflict.
