A few friends and I are planning to start a (hard) rock band. I love the sound of the concertina and would like to add it somehow into our music. Would you say this is possible to accomplish? We want to do something different and mix things up a bit, but I do not know if it would be smart using such a special instrument that is meant primarily for folk, even if we make a folk-rock combination. In case it would be feasible, what could be best to use, English or Anglo concertina? Thank you!
I thnk you could integrate the Anglo concertina with any form of muisic if you have got the will to do so. The the first thing is to get stuck in, learn to play, with the help of people of this great tutor, and others like him. I would not in any way call myself a good concertina player, I am self taught, and always maintain taught by an eejit. But I have the advantage of haveing a hard neck. I have been invietd to play with lovely Asian, and Chinese musicians. They did not kick me off their platforms. Then again, they are very polite well mannered people. Good luck in your efforts.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I've been playing concertina for about 5 years but they super expensive to upgrade and also now I'm starting to feel like self conscious when I play when the other expensive concertinas that my friends have if that makes sense and I hate playing by myself because the sound is just dreadful

The beginner concertina has such a terrible sound compared to the super nice but expensive concertina
