i think bouboo wasnt very good here, interesting movement choice, but its like he was surprised to hear the beat drop and was floundering to find a move that would have impact, while rubix very naturally built to these moments and finished strong. also kefton had great musicality as he always does. I think the double time beat in his second round is hard to compete on against someone like kuty who uses litefeet so often as well. for what he was given i think kefton was pretty in form for both of his rounds.

Rubix was so hype, first round espeically he reminded me of four other Criminalz starting with that big move at 3:00 reminding me of something Laurent would do, followed by some Larry styled dancing than some floor tricks like Rochka would do and than something awfully close to Diablo's signature move at 3:14. He is amazing

Bouboo probably would have won this with a different (read: better) partner, Kefton isn't very technical IMO and he only excels when he can overpower other dancers with his musicality. Bouboo, Kuty, and Rubix all have excellent musicality and dope technicality. It was good seeing Bouboo tear it up again, i feel he's slightly underrated.

Amazing battle! Thanks for uploading. Still, and this might sound unappreciative, but I feel like the quality of the sound and camera angles are getting worse every year, which is sad because JD is one of the most important battles and should be held to a higher standard.

The fact that they're young and this talented gave them the edge. Not to discredit Kefton and Boubou's strenght, but they really gave it their all, especially Rubix ! At the end of the day, it was not the winner that mattered, but the exchange, the love shared and the amount of respect those veterans have to the new generations. They couldn't be more prouder of the new faces of French hip hop.

In my opinion what's most important in a battle is the energy you leave behind after every round. There is a certain energy you have to give, an atmosphere you need to create, because if you dont then no matter your technique or any of the other elements of dance, you just wont have fully fleshed out, complete rounds. And Rubix and Kuty definitely brought more energy when it came to it. They had way more momentum and consistency throughout. And that is what, at least for me, edged this battle to them.

His mum is actually a great dancer, choreographer and teacher, and his dad is a rapper so art is in his blood ! He's from Paris area and he's been dancing with Ruben for years now. Their first signicant winning is the Young Battle in 2015 with Marius (they were "mini Justiciers" then). You can find the videos on youtube. Baby-beasts at these times ! 😆

Plus he just mimics the dance of other criminal crew members. Which means he has no originality and doesn't have his own style. It was close but the partner pieces Justiciers did was cleaner and better executed. Kefton and Kuty cancelled each other out and Rubix and Bouboo were too close to call. But gawdammn Criminalz Crew breed MONSTERS. I just found out about Rubix today and omg he's their prodigy who grew up. In my opinion Rubix had a ton of energy and the best moves, but lacked control overall. Kuty and Kefton honestly looked very amateurish in their rounds, a lot of energy, but no real substance. Their dancing wouldn't even make it out of most preselections for bigger events. Boubou looked like an absolute pro and overall was the most impressive to me. I think a tie would've been better, but I probably would've given it to Rubix and Kuty just because I felt like Kefton's second round was awful. Never caught a flow and seemed uncomfortable the entire time. Not strong enough for Boubou to carry him.
