    I'm 25 right now and I wanted to move out for me to be independent. I do all the house chores while living with my parents so I won't be bothered about the chores if I'll live with my own soon. What holding me back is only one thing MONEY.

    great advice .......you know its time to leave when your own relatives start holding you back from reaching your goals.......consciously too. All in all it was generally the same things I had in mind which means you are going to have plans then under that smaller plans and of course backup plans . Also when you reach a certain age you know when its time to leave. For me those cons are necessary for people who have had their freedom so restricted that they just ... want....out

    I’m 19 and I had a big argument with my mom , I feel like staying with my parents honestly is keeping me from growing and discovering myself , I am being protected by them and that I’m turn makes me useless , I don’t want to waste away so I want to move out ASAP and learn to grow my own way

    My dad doesn't understand that I want to move out of the house he just want me to stay in this house forever and he let my brothers moved out I'm 26 yrs old and still in college and he's too jealous and won't get himself a job because he's very lazy and don't respect anyone in his family not even his own young adults kids and don't pay his own bills at all my mom does understand that I want to move out so how can I get my dad to understand and respect that I want to move out of the house to be more independent just like my two twin brothers?

    • @Findlifesuccess
      @Findlifesuccess  9 лет назад +3

      Hey Kanna - thanks for the comment! I think parents are naturally over protective (especially to girls) so don't hold it against them. If you want to convince your parents that you're ready to move out - come up with a budget to show them that you have calculated all your costs and income and that you're ready. They will probably still have concerns, but if you think you're financially ready then it will be up to you to take the leap. Good luck, and merry Christmas! :)

    thank you for the advice. Ive been looking to move out of my mother's house due to being 25 and im still living there. i mean, im not the sterwotypical man-child. i do free babysitting for my 10 and 9 year old brothers (mother likes having a free babysitter), i pay the telephone and internet bill, work full time, and am saving 5k a year for a downpayment on a mortgage, as well as "lending" her money to pay HER bills, since apparently her making 3 times the amount of money i make still isnt enough to pay bills. so now im freaking on how the family will see me when i move out, but at tje same time, 25 and still living with my mother makes me feel, almost ashamed, if i could put it to 1 word.

    • @Findlifesuccess
      @Findlifesuccess  9 лет назад +1

      +TrentonHark I wanted to reply to your comment... I think everyone has their own personal situation in life. Their own unique challenges and opportunities. Honestly, you staying at home and working and helping out your family is very honourable. Don't be ashamed of it at all. its great! Not only are you helping your family, but you're probably saving money on rent - and are instead saving up for a down payment on a house that you can then build equity with (which in some ways can be better than paying rent elsewhere). It's a good thing financially for you and its honourable. Let me know when you buy your first place so we can congratulate you! :)

      Hey Victor, thanks for the comment! Congrats on moving out and starting the next chapter of your life! Yes it can be scary, but this will be a big learning process for you. I believe you will grow and evolve because of it, so embrace that! Reach out to your family for support (cooking tips, recipes, cleaning tips, etc.) as I think that will help keep your relationship with them strong. Visit them often (once per week maybe) if you can, to keep the relationship solid, but also for the free meals haha ;P Do you have any other comments or questions? I'm in my early 20's, I live with my mother. I've paid all the rent in my house since I was 16. I buy all of the food for me and my mother 3 out of 4 weeks of the month. I buy all the pet food and I pay for the internet and TV. We haven't had gas or central heating in the house for over 10 years because we can't afford it. I'm physically disabled and I get benefits ,that's the only way I can afford this. I'm working on getting a career in the tattoo industry so I can get more income. I've been considering moving out now for a long time, my mother constantly picks fights with me and sometimes can be down right nasty. My worry's about living on my own is if it'll cost me more than I'm paying out just now and if I'll only be offered apartments in terrible areas. I don't know what to do, if anyone has advice it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      @JoFrancisco 8 лет назад +2

      Hey, thanks for the comment and for opening up. Sounds like you want to move out but your support is very important to your mother which is one of your main concerns (among others). There is nothing to be ashamed about living at home in your 20s, especially if you're supporting your family the way you are. I would say stay on track on the path that you're in... work on building your career and increasing your income so that one day soon you can afford to move out (somewhere decent) while still being able to support your family if needed. There are tons of people who live with their parents by choice and just mooch off their parents for as long as possible. Know thta you are NOT one of these people. Instead you are supporting your family! Im not sure if this helps but I hope you feel better about your situation. Let us know if you have any other comments or questions. =)

      If you are feeling guilty because your family will miss you or you will miss them, then consider moving out but staying close to family so you can still see each other often (or make sure to stay in touch lots). Proper financial budgeting and planning will help you overcome the rest (do you have income? can you cover living expenses and still have some leftover to save/invest or for emergencies?). If so, sounds like you may be ready!

    • @Findlifesuccess
      @Findlifesuccess  5 лет назад +1

      @@leannjoseph5337 you probably don't want to be dependent on your boyfriend, so it may be best to get a job first. Having a job will also help in telling parents because then you will be better prepared to move out. When it comes to telling parents, the bottom line is that once you're ready to move out you just tell them; like peeling a band-aid off quickly rather than slowly. It may be a difficult conversation to have, but if you're properly prepared (for example you have a job and income, and know your budget and that you can cover expenses), then being prepared will give you confidence in speaking to your parents about it. Again, moving out but staying close to family is also an option so you can kind of get the best of both worlds. =P

    One of the fears of moving out is that if you get retrenched, you have to move bak and if your parents were hating on you before you moved out, what will they do when you give them a call and say "hey mum dad i got retrenched and i have to move bak in".
    I think its good to move out as it keeps the bond stronger but at the same time with todays cost of living you really have to be super independant to consider it unless thats just fear talking.

    • @Findlifesuccess
      @Findlifesuccess  9 лет назад +1

      Ebrahim Abdoola I think you are right - one of the biggest fears stopping people from moving out is the fear of failing and having to come back home. That is why you need to make sure you have budgeted properly. As long as you have enough income coming in to pay for your rent, food, transportation, and extras - you should be good. But don't rush it - there are definitely some "pros" of living with family. ;)

      No, I don't live in Cali haha I do live on the west coast of Canada tho, which is also quite expensive, but yea the cost of living will depend on where you live - some may be more, some may be less... there are comments on this video that say 1K/month is crazy high haha Thanks for the comment though! 🙂 Check out my new RUclips videos here (ruclips.net/user/F0NKN0) as there may be more content that interests you... if so, subscribe!
