I would really like to hear you speak about how parents are suppose to treat their adult children and are there any boundries that parents cannot cross. Can you expand more on the balance of this dynamic.

I've been guilty of defaming my dad for defaming me using my past to get people to hate me in the present maliciously while both being Christians and I returned the favor sadly to a higher degree. I've forgiven him and repented of my sins but now my parents both have passed. What can I do now to atone for my sin of dishonoring him today? I'm a born again Christian and consider myself a follower of Christ.
My mother God rest her soul was a saint in my eyes and I loved her dearly and she loved me as well, we had a great relationship.

You do not need to atone, and you could never atone for any sin you have committed. That is what Jesus Christ did on the cross. He is your atonement so the first step is to ask God for his forgiveness, the second step is to actually believe he has forgiven you because Jesus’s sacrifice was enough to atone for you x

Please pray for my mother. There is a relationship in her life that is very concerning. Please pray that this person would be removed from her life.

:( God’s will is perfect but the Spirit will lead prayers for her if need be! Amen sister!

Still honor them that means have a better attitude than they do to you but if they physically abuse you or emotionally intentionally distance yourself…

Learn from their mistakes that they may not even see. Don't focus on teaching them, ever but they may learn by seeing you solve their problem for yourself.

Honoring is more for yourself and god when parents are abusive.

Don't know how to say something nice when asked about parents or MIL if there isn't anything nice to say. Do I just avoid answering or lie?

Man my mom was very abusive and so eqs my aunt. If i would have "honored " my mother she would have been molesting me from age 6. I mad GOD my mother and father and for that reason I never ket her cross the line with me. But i did suffer lots of other abuse. Beatings with SPIKED belts until I bled, punches to the face, neglect and starvation. When you have parents like that they are NOT worthy of being honored. GOD is my mother and father and ALWAYS will be. So in that regard I guess I DO honor my parents since my parents are God. ❤
