Well the queen’s gambit declined is actually pawn to E6, what she played was the Slav defense. But she didn’t accept it so I guess it can be called a decline too lol
Wow i really enjoy this content a lot more than watching the 3 min blitz games. Because as a beginner it is much easier to follow your thoughts here, whereas in the blitz games i often dont understand why certain moves are played. So i would love to see a bit more content like this in the future. Thank you for the great content!
First time watching one of your videos and it was awesome. I truly loved how you provided the long term thought process. Very educational and helpful. You definitely gained a subscriber!!
Eric competes pretty regularly with human players at the 2400+ level but for whatever reason he was a bit nervous at the beginning of this video playing this engine. I found that a bit amusing. Awesome game Eric and very instructional.
I like how you actually explain stuff instead of just "takes, takes, takes, I go here, here, here, bishop e4, queen c8, checkmate, yeah, chat I think that's checkmate, oh wait is it checkmate? No maybe I'll just castle."
I forecast a low chance of winning for the Rosenator against older Beth Bot's. And the thumbnail is Epic as usual. How Eric manages to make his make up look better than Beth I will never know. The matching nail polish was just the icing on the thumbnail pose cake. 💅

It’s a little difficult to follow the move history because of the scroll position but at 23 did you consider Be2 to help activate the Nf3 that isn’t contributing much? That IMO brings it into the queenside fight. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
I like how more and more chess personalities are playing against engines. Yes, we already know that the best engines are better than the best humans, but it's interesting to see how far the humans can go up the ladder before it becomes to difficult. And props to the programmers of these new bots, a lot of them play pretty indistinguishable from human play.
you play new players and bump into this and that.. but this game is awesome to see the level at which someone at your level of chess needs to play ahead and determine moves in order to do well. This game was much better to see you play properly. Thank you

7:39 couldnt black just have taken bishup on d3, either white trade with queen sich would give black a free bishup on b2 or he just gives up a bishup?? Or am I missing something??
10:31 so I’m pretty new to chess so this might be an obviously bad move for some reason I don’t see, but why not move Bd2? It defends e3 which was the goal of Eric’s plan, so a fork can be set up by Ne5, but it also puts that somewhat inactive bishop into a position where it’s defending a valuable position. I suppose black could respond with Ne4, but you could respond with Ne5+, forcing the king to move, then Nxc6, threatening blacks bishop. It seems like pressure gets put on a lot faster and doesn’t give black the opportunity to make the moves it wants to. Again I’m not super great at chess so if someone could confirm this is the right move or tell me why not I’m all ears.
How do they program the computer to play in a fictional character's style? I understand that the playmagnus AI can just play his moves in the same position whenever it's in the database, and for all other positions, you can still train a neural network on the database (not sure if they did that for the playmagnus app). But how do you emulate a fictional character whose style is only described and who only has a handful of games as a reference?
14:20 That's exactly what happened to me with the 10 year old Beth. I couldn't figure out how to formulate a checkmate. She kept going to the corners where I could only stalemate. 50 moves later and it was a draw.
