I think Tom did very well for himself, not my sort of music but what a legend!
I’m 60 years old and first saw him in the sixties, due to my mother watching him and saying he was sexy. Didn’t know what that meant at the time.
Love your reactions!!! He was (and still is) fun and down to earth at the same time during his concerts. Yes (another live concert), I did get to see him in concert in the late 70's and when he got to the chorus of Delilah, the predominantly female audience exploded! LOL He loved it and just let us all carry the song through, great fun. Oh yeah, Elvis has nothing on Tom Jones' moves. I watched his show every week and was jumping up and down when he and Janis Joplin paired up. Thanks again for the memories!

Elvis was no comparison physically or vocally for me. But both legendary and immensely talented.
Saw Tom when I was 16,friend and I drove her mom to see him. Was quite a shock to watch all these 40 year old mothers acting a fool. 😂😂 Then I took my mom to see him in Vegas and she must have been in her 60's so I would have been in my 30's and the women were still acting a fool.. Little cringey watching your Mother acting a fool. But fun time for Mom. Great memory, thanks guys. I tried to join your live stream but couldn't figure out how to do it but I enjoyed watching along. Will see if my kids will help me figure it out for next live stream. Peace and love to all.
I remember his American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show (also Elvis and The Beatles. I'm giving away my age). " I'll Never Fall in Love Again, " is my favorite song by him. I don't care much for a lot of his music, but he certainly was a performer.
The Welsh accent wasn't too bad actually, though BP1 went a bit Irish at one point 🤣🤣🤣 No idea on the language as I only know about thirty words, but dai iawn for trying!
Tom still has a cracking voice, fair play to him. I never really understood the attraction to him myself. I definitely wouldn't have thrown my knickers at him (which reminds me of the duet he did with Cerys from Catatonia.. 'I'd never throw my knickers at you! 🎶 🎶 ).My mum loves him, though she'd have probably have sold her soul for a kiss with Elvis. Now the attraction for Elvis I CAN understand as he was an extremely handsome man (still not my cup of tea. I'm a fussy wench).
Elvis had the dance moves, Tom had the dad moves. Sorry, Sir Tom! You're still a legend, though, like innit. Proper tidy, like. 😉

@firefighterchick love me some Viggo! Love him in GI Jane, too. The film is absolute tosh, but I watch it for the plot (the plot being Viggo in tiny white shorts. Hoo yah Master Chief indeed).

@@firefighterchick yeah, those white shorts were about the only memorable thing in that film. Can't beat his role in Lord of the Rings though. I'm a full on LotR geek, btw. Viggo was BORN to play Aragorn. He's a sweetheart in real life, too. He bought his character's horse when the filming wrapped up (he did the same thing with the horse in 'Hildago'). Fantasy might not be your thing, but those movies are top notch. Just beautifully made, and (mostly) true to the books.
BTW, Tolkien created several languages for the books, and the Elvish language is beautiful both linguistically AND in written form. 'Tundiel' is actually 'Tara' in Elvish 😍

Tom Jones recently dated Elvis Presleys’s ex-wife Pricilla Presley. I believe they no longer date .
They had famously met when she was just 14 years old in 1959 and he was 24. Dating rumours about Tom and Priscilla have swirled in the years since Jones' wife Linda died in 2016 but Jones makes clear that he and Priscilla, 77, are just friends.
Priscilla has dated and slept with a LOT of men, before and after Elvis.
@@glennelfmann3143 a few years ago their platonic relation turned into a romance. I remember something in the news about Tom aggressively trying to get underage girls to have sex with him after his concerts. This is when Pricilla halted the romance.
I never understood Tom's appeal. To me, he was a poor Elvis imitator. He pretended to be a close friend, and then talked trash about him after his death. Same with Priscilla. 😢😢😢
