One of the most heartbreaking deaths on AOS. It is even more so realizing he didn't get to say goodbye to Fitz. Poor Fitz is going to be so sad when he finds out. On another note, I couldn't help but laugh every time the team went up against Enoch and it lead to a deadly end for some of them. It was so hilarious. Joel was a fantastic addition to the cast.
You really think Fitz is alive? Because I’ve thought he was dead for a while now, and Simmon’s reactions as the memories came back to her only seemed to reenforce my theory. He’s dead and that’s the real reasons he’s blocking her memory. Something awful happened to him.
Andrew Geczy Yes I think he is alive. I don’t think the writers are going to kill him off for a second time. I think the reason she was distraught when Daisy removed the implant was because she remembered her daughter, and the fact that she had to abandon her, and that’s why she named the chip Dianna. Just my theory.
Yes I also think it was very meta. Also Enoch seeing the future and knowing this is their last mission, is a reference to this being the last season of the show.
He was talking directly to Coulson who will likely outlive the rest of the team because they're all human and he's not, so Coulson will be the one left behind.
Thank You Enoch, You have taken very bold action today and your sacrifice will not be forgotten. I believe that if Fitz was here, He would say, "You are... Without any doubt... The supreme... Absolute... Best"... As You have always been.
Theory for the finale: Enoch said the team wouldn’t survive so they probably move on. Mack will retire and he and Yo-yo will ride off into the sunset. Mack will make Daisy the Director and Sousa will stay on as her right hand. Fitz, Simmons, and May will leave the field and start teaching at S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Deke will take over as the head of the R&D team. Coulson I could see teaching but honestly I think he’ll request being turned off and not be turned on again unless absolutely necessary. They store his body in a secret facility and the box they put him in says, Project New Avengers. Fade to black. That’s just my wishful thinking. I don’t know what’s going to happen.
I like this idea. I had the same theory but with exception of FitzSimmons who I thought that will retire too and start a family. But teaching seems also cool for them, maybe as heads of since division. Obviously Mack and Yoyo will retire, he talks about this almost every season. Daisy will become director as she should and Sousa with May will stay with her. May will probably teach and will be head of shield academy and Sousa souds cool as Daisy's right hand. Deke will either stays with his grandparents of will start a new company or maybe he will finally go to a trip to see a world.
I got the impression from things said in the Elizabeth Henstridge live chat that Enoch wasn't meant to be a long term character, but he grew on the writers and producers and they decided to keep him around.

Well the programming only forbade him to stop the removal of the implant and at all costs but at the end since they had known how to stop it from previous loop and enoch didn't have to make that decision his next priority was their survival
@@othervids3726 I'm sure we'll see their goodbye since enoch has spent "a considerable amount" of time with fitz-simmons trying to solve the chronicom problem.
I have a theory on what Enoch meant by saying that their friends would survive but the team wouldn't. They're traveling through time, trying to fix everything, but you can never put something back exactly the way it was with time travel. So I think while they WILL save the world, their timelines are going to be different enough that the team never formed. So they all live, but the team is dead

Enoch was a great character portrayed so well by Joel Stoffer. His humor and candor and ability to observe the human condition was just brilliant. I enjoyed his appearances on Agents of Shield.

Everyone dies alone. But if you mean something to someone-if you help someone, or love someone, if even a single person remembers you-then maybe you never really die at all.
