The labour union shouldn't have been demanding for pay rise, but instead, they should be protesting for a downward review of (40%) of all political appointee, elected/selected officers, National assembly members and their officers, reduce the cost of governance by shelving the unnecessary appointment of friends and family to syphon government funds. Also,the bank directors should, as a matter of fact, reduce the interest rate on all the loans given to the industries and investors. They should also call for re introduction of essential commodity given to workers to ease the effect of food and commodity on all workers. After realising this ,they can now sit down with the government and fix the minimum wages according to balance of the economy.
