When Cory emotes, like tries a higher range, his voice had a tendency of getting pitchy, especially since a fair amount of his songs were in concert with Broadway vocalist; you can actually hear the struggle in the earlier seasons when the key would jump. Thankfully, if you listen closely, he became a much stronger singer by season 3
The fact that Naya's body was discovered on the 7 year anniversary of Cory's death is probably the most depressing thing I've learned this year, and oh boy has this been a depressing year. Rest in piece Naya and Cory. 💞🕊

He wasn't just a stupid junkie, he was addicted and he tried to get help. Everyone's got their problems, and he had his reasons for the drugs. He was a good guy, just had bad habits. And he wasn't trying to die, or make people unhappy so its not his fault that it happened, so he's not a bad guy in that sense.

I was rewatching glee as I do and my mom said this was her favorite cover from Glee. She liked because how different it was but the story behind it. Just goes to show how talented and captivating Cory was when he sung.

This is the earlier bookend to Naya's rendition of If I Die Young in the tribute episode to Cory. Such sad poignancy this week. Such gifted people, died young. Death comes to each and every one of us. That's our source of solidarity: in this, we are all on the one, same team. Let us remember that always.
