I can’t wait to get my Rocket X 2! They should be in today for review…it feels like it’s been a lifetime for them to finally be released
Thanks for the good content!
Thanks a lot, Joel - where can I check your review?
No doubt, an absolute honest and insightful initial review one can get for a shoe!!! Great review as always, Alex!!!
Thanks a lot for the very nice comment, Laukik
Thank you so much, Alex for your honest reviews and experience with these shoes. I need some genuine, truth-based reviews before I break the bank to try those super shoes out there.
Thanks for the nice comment. It's our mission on this channel to help runners find the right products for their needs ;-)
@@AlexFilitti 🙏🙏
$250 is a lot, imagine $275 for the Endorphin Elites…yikes 😮😢
Bisa beli dimana dan brp harganya ?
Ох такого везения я еще не видел))) Классно что нашел твой канал)🎈
Great review Alex
I used to be a big Hoke fan till I discovered Peba❤
This shoe doesn't seem as fast or as fun as the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro based on the reviews 🤔
Looking forward to your BIG super shoes review 😊
Thanks! Will be sharing it in the coming days :)
@@AlexFilitti Brill! 😊
The shoe is a revolution, best for long sprints on the track. It's my long sprint trainer.
You still like the shoe I was thinking the same thing I wanted to get it for long sprints on the track
@@Karlsator Yes. I have 2 pair and a bought a half price pair from Hong Kong. They look to be authentic in every discernible detail except for one thing. The carbon plate is not as stiff, it's much more flexible, so these may be 'factory seconds' or a very good knock off. I'd stay with the real deal. These shoes have really helped me train despite bad arthritis in one foot.
Awesome video, thanks. Ordered mine last week... received them yesterday and had to request a return and go for 1/2 size bigger... Careful.
Bonjour. Peut être un peut trop cher comparé aux modèles connu, pour une première version PEBA ?
Certainly feels like Hoka has caught up with the 21st century - has felt like Hoka has been in the periphery for a long time.
Yes, couldn’t agree more!
Yes!
You seemed ecstatic about this shoe then I got to the end and you said would only race a full marathon in it and nothing shorter. That's hardly "super" to me for this price ?
Hi Tim, good point. It's probably a great supershoe for most distances but I would probably pick it only for a marathon. That being said if I was offered to do a 10k in it, I wouldn't be too worried about how it'd perform. Hope this makes sense
@@AlexFilitti for me I realized vaporfly has too little forefoot cush for marathon, do these have more?
Very helpful. Will probably give it a try!
Let us know what you think if you try it
Выкладывай уже быстрее продолжение, хочется знать че будет дальше))
Thanks for the review! But stack height is 36mm-31mm instead of 40-35 according to their own site.
Thank you for this gift of detailed and honest review. You are the person that I watch before I buy a shoe hahahaa. Got my deviate nitro 2 because of your review. That said, I am considering the fast-R nitro and the hoka rocket x2, which do you recommend as a durable race day shoe? hope you can give this some time, thank you and bless your ways.
Ахахах. У тебя офигенно веселые видосы получаются) продолжай так же!)
Офигенные ощущения подниматься в этом казике))начал по чуть чуть, но в итоге вынес почти 10К🦮
Thanks for the review, Alex. I seem to be having a great result with the Mach 5, do you think this will work well if I want to stay in the Hoka family? I'll primarily use them for the long run.
I tried the VF 2 but unfortunately while I loved the ride, the fit was a nightmare because my heel kept slipping and I probably need more stability in the rear.
Clear answer is yes! If the fit of the Mach 5 was ok for you, then this should be even better and you should enjoy the ride too. Let us know if you try it ;-)
Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro or Hoka Rocket X2? Great video as always!
I’m waiting for more colorways to be available. 😅
Great review. Sounds like it is similar in softness to endorphin pro 3 and fuel cell elite 3.
Looking forward to your carbon racer comparisons! As a forefoot striker, I’m curious to see your recommendations.
Thanks Eric, I will try to have it ready in the coming week ;-)
Which one do you suggest Saucony endorphin pro 3 or hoka rocket x2
Pro 3 is more versatile and rolls better. Hoka has a way better fit and something funnier in the ride I'd say. I'd go with the Hoka personally
@@AlexFilitti I would guess you meant funner(more fun) rather than funnier(something funny)??
@@AlexFilitti pro 3 I already have since a year I'll plan to buy hoka RX2 now
I’m considering either this shoe or the Vaporfly 3 for my next race shoe. How do you feel that those two stack up against each other?
This is an « easy » one. VF3 is so far away from what the VF line has been that I would pick these for sure!
Would you look at it as a solid 70.3 option or use something better for the shorter distance?
Wud have never considered hoka b4 these but they look decent, feel they have missed an opportunity by pricing it a bit too high, not sure too many non hoka runners will take the plunge at that price
It's a good point, Rich but I'm confident it's a reasonable price when compared to other supershoes. Now indeed the question is whether this is enough to attract non Hoka runners. Let's see in the coming months whether they appear more and more in marathons like the Next% did a few years ago
@@AlexFilitti I probably should of elaborated in that I am going to take the plunge on the mizuno wave rebellion a brand I haven’t tried b4 and not the hoka, 1 reason is in the U.K. the mizuno is cheaper
how do you compare this shoe with Endorphin pro 3? will it be more stable and forgiving for flat feet or over-pronation runner?
Hi there! Unfortunately I don't think it will be any better, and it may even be a little worse. I will measure pronation angles and report in the upcoming super shoe comparison.
@@AlexFilitti thanks! sounds like the best carbon option for our pronation runners is still Endorphin pro 3😂
Thank you for the insightful videos. Being someone who has experienced both the Hoka Rocket X 2 and the Nike Vaporfly NEXT% 3, how do they compare? Is there one you prefer over the other? I‘ve been waiting for the NEXT% 3’s to launch in the US just in time for my first half marathon next month, however, the Rocket X 2 has been becoming very intriguing. Any feedback is much appreciated ❤
Hi Gavin!! Thanks for your very nice and encouraging comment. The Hoka rocket X 2 just fits so much better (the VF3 has a bad fit), and offers a more pleasant ride. It’s quite heavier though (+30g or 1oz in my size US11) and probably a little less efficient. But I would go with the Hoka. I am releasing a supershoe comparison video soon :)
@@AlexFilitti thank you for the insight! Looking forward to the video 😊
Hi Alex! Between NB RC Elite V2, Hoka Rocket X2 & Puma Deviate Elite 2, which would you say works best for easy paces?
Hi Sohel! Deviate Elite 2 because it will be more stable than the two others :)
@@AlexFilitti wow DE2 is more stable?
This is getting quite expensive at this point Hahahaaha. Any review of the Asics S4 or is it basically a magic speed 2 when you tried it?
Hi Marc! It felt quite stiff to be honest. I wouldn’t consider it over a magic speed 2…
How this compare to Saucony pro 3 😊
Great question! Pro has a better forward roll because the rocker starts earlier. Softness is similar, maybe a bit more compression in the heel of the rocket X2. Rocket feels a little more demanding, pro 3 very efficient. Data coming soon!
Great! These is the comparison I want to see! Thanks, Alex!
@@AlexFilittiHi Alex, thoughts on the toe box size between the Rocket X2 and the Endorphin Pro 3?
Hoka website says the stack a lot lower. Did you measure?
I actually got this info…from Hoka. No I didn’t measure yet, will do so for the best Carbon shoes video :)
It’s 36 . I have it in hands ….. much lower then Vaporfly . Easy to spot .
@Martin Bergmann Then it's probably 36 indeed, Hoka website says so too. Just not sure whether the insole is taken into account for that measurement or not. I will measure and report ;-) Thanks for sharing!
@@martinbergmann7478 Yes correct 36 heel, 31 forefoot
Great video. Do you happen to know which has a wider platform? HOKA ROCKET X2 OR THE SKETCHERS SPEED BEAST
Hi David, as soon as I get the speed beast (if I get it) I will upload the data on our shoe supertool on meta-endurance.com
@@AlexFilitti thanks Alex.
Vs magic speed 2 who is the best?
Revolution for Hoka, not for runners 😂
You didn’t like the ride?
Sounds good
Thanks Marko
You have one race to get BQ, what shoe you wearing.
Oh man this is a good one. Probably Alphafly BUT only if I tested it before on race day
Will it help behemoth blobs like myself break a 6 hour marathon?
I probably wouldn’t go for it to be honest (because of how detrimental some shoes can be below certain speeds). However if you were to pick one supershoe, then yes it has one of the best fits and that leg saving effect that you’re after. Hope this helps
