I have the UTG/Leapers scope. I bought a Gamo Hunter Extreme Pro .22 over the holidays and this scope. I'm away from my normal digs and haven't been able to shoot as much as I would like, but I have managed to shoot around 400 rounds or so. So far the scope has held up admirably. I certainly can't knock the rifles performance either. Great gun!

WULF 2-7 x 32 AO half Mildot. Good, 4 bolt, 11 - 14 mm rail mounts & 4 bolts on each scope ring. Very clear optics even with the yellow tinted, elasticated lens protectors.
Definitely one to add to the List !! Cost - around 35 UK. I Won it in a YT, Springer shooting channel Giveaway That is "Vins Vintage Tools (and air guns)". This guy knows all there is to know about springers.

Never tried the BSA you are talking about; However, I did purchase one at chellbas' a few years ago, it's a rifle BSA scope for a 2700 mins 1 0 lol that I have on my 1322 Crossman that works good for that... As for my break barrels: Hatsan 130 S I have a Barska 3X9X 40 mm AO that I'm working on blowing up, hasn't yet. That one is a beast... I have the UTG on my Gamo Rocket .22 springer, Thats because it blew up the C/Point... Go figure... On my Benjamin Prowler .22 I have a believe it or not, a Tasco Air gun scope that is holding up, still have issues the air gun itself, have to drill some relief holes, then I'm sure the groupings will get tighter. If the Tasco takes a dirt nap, I'll give the BSA 3X9 a try... Thanks for the info... Always looking for good deals... FIY wish my eyes were good enough to use a 4X... But I'm old... Big C 😎

May I also ask- I have 2 budget scopes, both 3x9-40.
In one scope, the same object has to be at a much higher magnification to be the same size (X6/7 compared to X3.)
A fault, or manufacturer variance? I assume magnification should be the same.
Outside of this, the scope appears perfectly usable, certainly for short range small pest control.

Very useful information. I've just returned my scope to Hawke UK after approx 2yrs (800 pellets) of use on a Weihrauch 99S springer. The combination has been very accurate, but I'm now unable to zero the sight. Maybe time to swap sights or consider a pcp???

    *Sounds like nice options!*
Sadly if you can find any of those scopes in Kenada they often are twice the Donalds...
I looked for a while before getting my Hawke 4x32AO and don't regret my choice yet!
It has been doing great on my Crosman NP
The Discovery that I got from Airgunarcheryfun with the Beeman is pretty nice but I am not sure that it would beat a UTG or Hawke on a springer...
The china scope that I got for a different review is awful yet tho.

Another great video keep up the great work maybe you can help me on a problem one of the springers I shoot is a ruger elite max.22 using my old style Weaver 3x9 scope and it will not shoot any better then a maybe a two inch group at 50 feet 10 shotindoor range were as my marlin bolt action powdered 22 I maintain .average. 26 to .32 groups I understand powder to pellets is like apples to oranges my question is what is the trick or is it possible to get that grouping with a springer
And finally you said springers eat scopes the scope I have on my pellet rifleis one of my scopes I carried on my rifle in scout snipers and it has a lot of meaning to me so any info would be of great help

    • @ohshoot444
      @ohshoot444  10 месяцев назад +1

Sure. First thing is try some different quality round nose pellets. I have good results from norma, rws, h and n and jsb. I'd probably start with the rws pellets as they seem to do the best in those. Second ditch the scope and do your pellet testing at like 12-15 yards using the artillery hold and test different grip tensions. If that doesn't help, start closing the barrel really gently. Some of those rifles have weird tolerances and that matters. Also speed up your trigger pull. That is assuming that the fasteners are tight.

I contacted Leopold to see if any of their scopes would withstand the shock from a spring-powered air rifle. They told me every scope they have ever built has been constructed to equal or exceed standards necessary to be considered spring air rifle rated. The only issue is I’m not sure if, they make any with an adjustable objective that will adjust down to the 10 to 40 m range at which I shoot my air rifles.

I don’t know if Nikon scopes are spring air rifle rated or if they will adjust down to a fairly close 10 to 40 m at which most people shoot spring powered air rifles. In any event, though, Nikon stopped making riflescopes a year or two ago.
But I’ve wondered that as well because I think Nikon makes excellent quality optics. Years ago I got Nikon lenses on my eyeglasses and they were by far the best, most glare-free lenses I’ve ever used, didn’t even need sunglasses a lot of the time.
