I love watching your knife skills. Truly appreciate all the videos you've done over the years. My repertoire of cooking greatly expanded because of you and Julia. Thank you.
From childhood to now (85 years) Jacques has had a very interesting and highly successful life. If you take the time to read his autobiography, you will be amazed at his achievements and how he overcame obstacles that would have deterred the average person. He reinvented himself multiple times, challenged himself willingly, and accomplished what he did while still remaining humble and down to earth.
I admire the man very much. Not only for his culinary skills, but I admire his devotion to the family. ,How he cares about the cooking as it always includes the importance and love of family. Thank you Master Chef Jacques, love you, as so may of us do. GOD BLESS YOU!!
Cooking fast food M Pepin ways is absolute wonderful! His useful/ helpful little tips, here & there, are seriously valuable. Such a privilege to have the chances to capture what he’s offered. I’m so grateful for. Thank you for the post/ sharing. Have a great day.
Growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, we only got three channels on the TV in the late 80's and early 90's. Luckily, I was able to watch Mr. Pépin on one of them. How I wish I could go back in time and enjoy those simpler times. I remember thinking then about how I could not wait to grow up, go to college, and see the world. Now, I miss the farm chores, growing and tending the garden with my Dad, and enjoying his company along with the slower pace of life; however, it fills me with a little regret that my own children will never experience what I did. Watching him cook now brings back so many wonderful memories. Thank you for putting up videos of him cooking.
I remember watching on TV, so glad I found this here. It's 2019 and I still love to watch him. Wishing him well if he ever will see this, I don't know.
I remember him from when I was young and I could still watch him all day. Not everything he makes is to my taste but I learn something from every video. Great narrator, entertainer, and chef.
Chef Pepin, you are an excellent teacher, and a pleasure to watch. I have learned alot from you. Your receipes are terrific, & not really difficult to make. Thank you, all the very best to you.
YES, he had done everything on their on. good example for many of us. I don't think he went to cooking university, but he knows his stuff, and he is true to his work. great teacher too,.
Love, love, love Chef! Me, am an unimaginative cook -- but, slowly through, watching "fast food my way" am beginning to put together some tasty -- Easy -- wonderfully nutritious meals for one or two or more. And, of course, the easiest part of any "my way" meals is the opening of the wine -- that I can, like Chef do hands down - ha-ha! Happy eating!
Just cooked that ancho pepper sauce with some fried fish. Boy, it's so amazingly good! It turned out quite a lot thicker than in the vid so I can use it as a spread, too. Love this guy!
I love these shows - always fascinating, the charming Pepin. My favorite here was the fish, that looks wonderful - I’d love that, but without the brown sauce, please. Once I looked at that sauce and it occurred to me it looked very much like something else, there was no way I could eat that. But that lovely fish would be great without it! We used to make Cherries Jubilee out of those canned Oregon cherries - the recipe wasn’t much different from what the Chef uses here. It’s delish!
The pumpkin gratin recipe has become one of my holiday staples since I first saw this episode. It is SOOO rich and cheesy and delicious. (Not to mention very fast and easy to make!) Normally, I make it around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but even though it's February, just watching this makes me want to make some right now. :-)
I'm here in 2019 too. Happy holidays everyone. My reward for finishing all my Christmas preps. is watching a bunch of these shows. He is absolutely adorable. I just love chkn. livers and that opening recipe looks delicious. But it's hard to beat my usual of lightly fried chkn. livers with sauteed onions & sour cream. But I'll try it his way. 💜 😜 🙋
Can you imagine Claudine in junior high and high school? She probably friends drawing straws to spend the night so they could experience the food that this wonderful man prepared for dinner or breakfast !!
It looks grand, but i cant do chicken parts i usually put them in a stuffing or soup but i cant have it like that an appetizer, even though jacque makes it look so good and im sure it is!
the Gotdamn dish!! Lol!! Every time he's says that i laugh, sounds like a cuss word. Jacques Pepin is the man!!!! Everytime i watch this ma cook i wanna go and cook.Much respect.
Not many. As director of research and development, he didn't cook in the line kitchens very often. Many diners ate recipes created by him but cooked by others, though.
"It's a non-stick pan, that's why everything sticks to it." My sentiments exactly.
After all these years that he's been Chef, he still enjoys it like the first day. He's truly amazing to watch!.
And is still humble enough to talk about learning from other chefs.
I am so grateful these are on You Tube and we can watch them anytime we want! I love, love, LOVE Jacques Pepin!

"It's a bit hot on your fingers, but if you clench your teeth...."
You really have to love Jacques Pepin's sense of humor!! He is fantastic!
Boy that thing is a nonstick pan, that why everything stick to it.
A true professional chef wastes nothing in the kitchen; Pepin is a master!
THE MASTER CHEF!!!!!

Watching someone so passionate about their craft is so inspiring. He is a true master indeed.
God,I love this guy! The French uncle I never had.
The way he chops garlic is pure art
I can’t stop watching these. He’s so relaxing. And the food looks so easy for everyday people to make
I love this guy. So unassuming and so gifted. Thank you Jacque. M.

Jacques is, simply, the best!!!
When someone is passionate about what they do that they make you want to be like them, that is true power.
Agreed
This man is pure genius. I love watching him cook!
Pepin is great. So skilled and full of character. Thanks!
im young and still love watching this guy, my parents used to watch him many decades back
HE IS LEGEND
Jacques said “I never waste anything”. This is very common from people that lived in Europe during the second world war. Felicitations mon cher chef.
IT is importent now.
my friends Mother from France. Met her husband in WWII. WASTE NOTHING!!! What a wonderful woman she was, I miss her
Your thought is correct, yet your conclusion is not.
I added saffron to my fleur de sel.

Great! I learn so much from him.
Pepin is such a cool, laidback guy ... must be amazing to have him as a friend
YES, he had done everything on their on. good example for many of us. I don't think he went to cooking university, but he knows his stuff, and he is true to his work. great teacher too,.
Formidable! On se mets à cuisiner!!! Il ne manque plus que les sous-titres en Français.
Un grand merci,Maître.
He was in really good mood on this one. Love it!
Simple, effective, quick and delicious. You can't ask for more. I love this guy.
The Master! Makes it look so easy, and fun. If only our politicians could be like Jacques, what a better place the world would be...
He makes it look so easy. Hes a great techer though that's why i love watching him. Hes so calm and down to earth
"Mine is better." hahaha, only people like M. Pépin could get away with that.
I could watch him all day. Love his accent, and his cooking, wow!
I love watching him & Thomas Keller. They are just cool humble men.
it maybe a bit hot on your fingers, but if you clench your teeth, its ok! oh Pepin, you're the best.. what a chef!
Omg, hes peeling a hot tomato just out from boiling water
@@maniswolftoman true
I love how he always taps the blade of his knives to the cutting board before he starts chopping everything. his own lil signature
Glad I'm not the only one that sees that every time.
A lot of people do that, why? Nobody knows but still.
"No one will know you've been there"! Love it This meal is on my bucket list, now I only need a pan, a food processor and a high speed blender.
Love, love, love Chef! Life can be a bowl of cherries, and it's especially good with a little brandy!
Jacques adds a special way to prepare meals. :-)
Even the way he scooped that sour cream looked amazing
Jacque is the best!! You can tell greatness and intelligence, he make s things so simple!! What a man!
What a chef!
14:10 that thing's a no-stick pan so that's why everything sticks to it - ha!
Funnily enough, it's not. It's an enameled cast iron pan by Staub. I wonder who told Jacques that it was.
dennis michael it’s true tho he just worded it funny for the American🤔
Yeah, because YOU would know better than a world class, famous chef.
@@l4d2_ellis20 Thank you sincerely, for your insight!
@@generic53 hey meathead, check this out and check the video 13:04, apology accepted!
Staub American Square Grill, Grenadine, 10 - Grenadine (1202987)
In a mere twenty five minutes he makes a meal for a king and makes it look easy. I came here for the romesco and left with the chicken livers, heh.
Non stick pan means everything sticks to it! Classic Pepin🤣
True legend !! And the ease that he does everything with .
Lol, I thought Fast Food My Way was a great series. But now I've also seen the Cooking at Home productions too, and wow again!
He iis just the best!!
Really looks good!
I like how Jacques said don't waste anything, what a good advice.
A chef that doesnt waste food...
Pepin
YES YES YES.. agree, i hate when i see chefs or cooks that waist food. throughing half of the ''green bean'' or tomatoe, onion, or.... away.
I love you, Jacques.
Just cooked that ancho pepper sauce with some fried fish. Boy, it's so amazingly good! It turned out quite a lot thicker than in the vid so I can use it as a spread, too. Love this guy!
That sauce is a lot like i make enchilada sauce, i dont use almond and add dry California chile. Will be trying for sure

I love this show!
I pour a little wine in a big glass and swirl it and sip while watching his show on PBS, even at 10am.

Joanna : On behalf of all vegetarians - YUK. Ugh.
@@sylviaroberts8103 hi!
On behalf of us carnivores, I'll see your YUK and raise a DOUBLE UGH for tofu.
So love you and your amazing fast food!!!
Ugh...... So hungry!!!😘💞👍✌
I love the No Waste and also no unnecessary move part. No need to have a big bowl of ice just to peel a tomato.
Jacques Pepin's favourite ingredients: Mushrooms, chives, olive oil.
Shannon Fassler capers too.
garlic!!
Butter too :)
And wine, chicken, fish, potato, salt, pepper... :)
Woah how did any of you not mention apricot jam or raspberry jam warmed in the microwave
Can you imagine Claudine in junior high and high school? She probably friends drawing straws to spend the night so they could experience the food that this wonderful man prepared for dinner or breakfast !!

I like how in beginning he says water PERFECTLY lol
Looks Delicious.

I'm 70 years old we started cooking together it is good as I am
What a guy, learning from Rick Bayless at his age, experience, wisdom, prestige, and expertise!

You old hounddog, you
Brilliant!!!
It looks grand, but i cant do chicken parts i usually put them in a stuffing or soup but i cant have it like that an appetizer, even though jacque makes it look so good and im sure it is!
I now pronounce water and butter the way Jacques does in his honor :D
"Mine is better"
Only Pepin
Everything is better when you make it yourself, from furniture to food
What a nice man!
He would Charm all the lady judges while making all the rest of the Chefs look bad. LOL.
And we add maybe water, a quarter cup, maybe half.
That is such a homely line!
I never throw out my sheekin leever.
I learned a “new” way of jalapeño slicing today as I don’t like the seeds or the spines!
When my dog was still alive I would boil chicken livers cut them up and and serve them to her. She loved them.
Love this guy
Rick Bayless name drop was a surprise. Just finished watching a few videos of his on grilling.
Always a piece of cheese for the Chef....damn right!!
I’m not so much of a dessert person, but that cherry concoction sure looks better than Angel food cake with strawberries
“Mine is better” - his beautiful wife says so and I believe it. 😊🥰
I grew up eating liver so that looks delicious.
dang, this genius should be programmed into a robot home cook.
And here I am. Nibbling on a sad piece of cheese...😂
No one will know you have been there. So funny!
So good!!
That stuffed tomato looked amazing.
Is it me or the Cuisineart ad is told by Chef John from Food Wishes?
the Gotdamn dish!! Lol!! Every time he's says that i laugh, sounds like a cuss word. Jacques Pepin is the man!!!! Everytime i watch this ma cook i wanna go and cook.Much respect.
How spicy was the sauce?
Nice peel flex there
I wonder how many diners have eaten food prepared by Jack at Howard Johnson's way back when?
Not many. As director of research and development, he didn't cook in the line kitchens very often. Many diners ate recipes created by him but cooked by others, though.
SeikiBrian Thanks for the info. Interesting.
I think is very endearing the way he always talks about his wife, but sometimes the way he says it its like she's the famous chef not him.....
I love chicken livers.
