I like it! It’ll take a long long time for corrosion to weaken those massive tubes. If you don’t like the gap shove some JB Weld in there. The adjustable tension is pretty cool on the ramp!
I would agree about the time to rust. Yes, the adjustable tension is very nice. I’ve already used it twice based on the load. No slamming down with a heavy load.
Nice trailer! I would like to get a EBY trailer for my first trailer because I like the idea of a full aluminum deck vs the wooden deck with very little maintenance comparing to a wooden deck trailer.
EBY units have always looked nice. Flooring type has always been dictated by use for me. I’ve always like the ability to use lag bolts to secure extra D rings to the deck. Solid deck trailers are nice for practically no maintenance. Granted my old PJ was 9 years old when I sold it, wasn’t even close to needing a new deck.
That’s a fine looking trailer for serious hauling. I hope it gives you many years of satisfactory service. Do you think a heavy C channel would be better support under the deck? 👍
So far I am really liking it. I've hauled the 4066 on it and it pulls very nice. I'm torn on C channel vs tube. I like the tubes and its certainly a different design.
I should be pulling the 4066r this weekend. I’ll try and get a video of it. The two times I’ve loaded it up so far I have been extremely happy with where it sits and how the trailer pulls loaded.

You'll live that sure-trac. I have a 7x14 utility trailer by them and it's been a fantastic trailer.
I have an equipment trailer from suretrac well built, zero issues at an excellent price.

Is the wood Southern Yellow Pine?
I think so.
Can we see how well the 4066r fits on the trailer?
