Webinar on Data Management Planning (DMP)

Behind every great research project, there is great data management. This typically starts with data management plans (DMPs). DMPs are written documents typically written at the start of research project, outlining how researchers are planning to manage their research data during and after the research project. Librarians within research performing organisations play a key a part in supporting researchers in developing their plans. The Digital Curation Centre, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, will present in an online webinar centred around data management plans. The session will introduce what DMPs are and why they are needed. Additionally, the webinar will provide some ‘planning tricks’ in developing a DMP and offer Librarians some best practices in supporting researchers in developing data management plans.
