Good with a lighthouse wireless thermostat for the 6 hour lights off period during the winter which you would need too to so its not just running all the time. Got my eyes on getting one of these. Can be used as a mat for unheated propagators also. Made in Italy. 250w version available too.

hey man, that's a great little combo!
We're proper impressed with them to be honest; they heat up pretty much instantly and are probably the safest way to heat your grow space.
      Thanks for your comment man

Hot air rises so would guess a gentle fan moving the hot air at the top of the tent down is a good idea. Also insulation for the tent roof with a blanket or quilt. My guess would be this device will not radiate out heat as much as an oil filled radiator so moving the hotter air trapped at the top of the tent around maximizes energy saving. I only say this as I guess a lot of people switch off fans in night mode. Recommend a Rowenta 16 inch VU5870 or VU5840 fan (VU5840 is better as it has manual switch off memory and in sleep mode is gentle and only 17 watts). Can find them cheaper from amazon warehouse or tefal with a code. Can't beat German tech for build quality. I got a Rowenta for £44.19. 1st one arrived bust but 2nd one like new. They jump up in 17 watt increments in 4 speeds up to max 70 watts which push 80 m sq3 per minute. A must for any grow room. Beats a Dyson cool tower.

@@arahant69 You really don't want to turn fans off when the lights are out, as you will have a huge humidity spike. The reason many people heat the tent in lights out is to reduce the humidity as RH is relative and will rise dramatically when the temps drop. It's about finding the balance of air flow....air movement and heat.

What temp will this reach in a 4x4 that is usually at 65 with lights out. And only 70 with my veg light. I'd like to veg at much higher temps in the low 80's when I'm not getting the big heat from my light until I ramp it up for flower.

Does it come with the controller in the video? Is that to set the temperature? Or do you have to buy something else? Thanks.

hey, you could just plug it into something like a Lighthouse Thermostat and then it'd turn it off / on whenever it gets below your target temps!

hey mate, we'd wack it on a temperature controlled timer such as the air comfort - www.onestopgrowshop.co.uk/aircomfort-wireless-temperature-humidity-sensor.html
that'll start the heater up whenever it drops below temperature!
      cheers mate

@@OneStopGrowShopHydroponics thanks for the reply! Is using a adapter on a 500w heater safe? Just seems like not having a fitted plug when running that wattage, is a bit dangerous?

You can easily cut off the 2 pin euro plug and replace with 3 pin plug. As there is no earth it don't make a difference.
