A lovely relaxing video with none of the usual razmataz air show background noises, many thanks for posting this one Steve! Chris B.

Thanks Chris. That’s the beauty of going to Duxford in the summer on a sunny non air show day. One has no idea what one will see, but will always see something interesting! There was a second practice by the same pilot later, which I also filmed. The routine is identical but the film will have something different at the end. Steve.

Lovely video - I'm a Hurrifan rather than a Spitboi! Question if I may - I was videoing Just Jane last week, and found my shutter speeds sort of froze the props (Canon 90D). Do you know what shutter speeds you usually use to get more of a 'realistic' blur? I assume something lower than the 1/120 second my settings had chosen for me.

Simon, Thankyou for your kind comment. I'm glad that you like the film. Regarding shutter speeds. I film with a Sony AX53 Camcorder and set the shutter speed manually to either 1/50 or 1/60th second to achieve prop blur. Because the camera is not fully manual in all settings I then have to use a Neutral Density (ND) filter over the lens (like sunglasses for a camera!) in order to prevent the picture being over exposed - you should not need to do this with the 90D as you should be able to manually adjust the shutter speed and the aperture setting together so that the resulting film is not over exposed.Steve.
