Guys this was extremely helpful but just when I thought this solution was my problem I found out that a piece of plastic was broken and was stuck in there which won’t allow my key to turn

Why not just leave the fob in ignition and take out the hide a key?

Without shaving it you can just take the physical key out and still lock it
