Hey Ian, great stuff as always! Although you can avoid the trip to Premiere by just choosing to Queue in AME from After Effects. Media Encoder has the option to export as a GIF without needing to create another video file.
You do realize that sometimes when you press a key to perform an action and not inform us which key you pressed it can bring the whole tutorial to a halt for some of us.
I understand that these are basic concepts to the guy doing it, but for the areas where you JUST GLANCE OVER IT, how about providing a link. It is another video you can create WTF?!

Jeremy Kirby yes, but the face of someone else may also be moving. Wondering if there's another way to realign the face while it's moving that aren't position keyframes... Perhaps I could change the center point of the rotoscoped video...
