You still haven't answered my question? Is the top part of the wings of the spitfire MK1A metal..if...not then its...not die cast spitfire that you are building
@@WorldofWayneUK so therfore you are paying £1000, pounds for bits of plastic im glad I jacked mine in I would of understand if the whole plane was made from die cast... and paying for the plane at 1000 pounds it would be well worth it to build
Hi wayne my name is Jordan and I just have to say I'm liking your Spitfire Model its brilliant so far. As I'm a Huge WW2 fanatic brilliant job and tally ho like my grandad kept on saying while he flew the Lancaster Bomber. ✈✈...
Hello Wayne, great video mate, just throwing this out there, but did you know why the early Spitfire's had the half black wings, it was for allied identification, later in the war on D-Day all allied aircraft had black and white stripes on there wings and fuselage because a lot of aircraft were shot down by our own side during the Sicily landings in 1943, Lee.
I have a question Wayne, the wing on the spitfire that you are building MK1A , are they metal or plastic Love to hear your thoughts, Because if the top wings are made from plastic...but not die cast...then I thought that the entire bodyshell is made plastic then its not a die cast model spitfire...
Im loving the stl file jig build when its perfected let us know thin we can get it printed for ower own builds. And how is all the family at this point in miss world of Wayne's recovery? Loving the build as all ways. Stay safe all.
at time index 8;49 it really looks impressive, cant wait til I get to this stage. you can see the full width of the wingspan in this episode my god at 1:8 scale its massive
I think something is still missing and needs to be installed to allow a field test: the stopping mechanism for the electric motor. I suspect that those red tabs on the wings near the landing gear holes are part of it and that will be connected with some electric switch that signals the main board to stop the electric motor or reverse its direction of rotation.
@@WorldofWayneUK yep otherwise you,ll split the small braid cable that holds what will be the electronic landing gear section of the MK1A Spitfire itself✋🛑😬
I suggest you need to look more carefully at pictures in Issue 36; Picture 1 : Look at the orientation of flanges, top green and bottom Yellow, the bottom yellow in particular with its L shaped cut out. The supplied motor does not show this orientation. If I follow your verbal instruction to orientate the green flange cable to the centre of the aircraft then this means the actual motor installation does not conform to pics 9 & 10. Great video Wayne the landing gear mechanism looks very complex, let’s hope we get a chance to test it before closing the area up.
AY-LUR-ON Wayne.

Wow. Thanks for the info
Very simple but clever design for the undercarriage retracting mechanism.
Another cracking video Wayne. And my stand is famous on your channel 😀
Sweet spitfire build yay

Impressive.... Most impressive
Fiat 205!! Oh dear Wayne!
I had a Fiat after the Peugeot. I get confused. Must be the rum.
I can't believe you resisted the urge to test the landing gear :)
Lol. It said in big red letters. Dont be tempted to test.

Hi Wayne can you give me the link for the 3D printed stand thanks in advance
Thw design has been changed now by the author of the stl file.i think they are being produced now by partworkupgrades.com
Don,t get add abit of silicone grease to the gear cogs for smoother landing gear movement
Wayne i do not have a 3D printer would you sell the spitefire stand for the people without a printer?
I think the designer of the stand is trying to sort something out.
@@WorldofWayneUK Thank you Wayne, please let me know if and when you have a update. By the way love your channel.
Dear Santa, I'd like to have a lava lamp Spitfire Prop. Just asking. Get those Elves on to it!
Hi Wayne great vids keep up the good work. Try this to help with your struggle to pronounce aileron. Ale er Ron 😂
Hi from Utah Wayne! Any chance this will become available in the US? Have a great holiday season!
I think if you wait a little longer you may be rewarded :D
Hi Wayne I don’t have a 3D printer (yet) is it possible to buy one of those stands?
We are still tinkering with it at the moment.
I have a small screwdriver only 4.5 cm have you got the address for the guy who did your stand for the spitfire thanks
I dont I'm afraid but the link to it is drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1KxXHKjH0BvRO6jnN6c33IV5sCeH4tViW?usp=sharing

Wayne are you retired, or do you have the coolest boss in the world? Either way the plane is coming along really great
Nope. I quit my job in March to do this full time
Hi I love the idea of that jig however I don't own a 3d printer would you consider printing and selling one to me at all :)
Many thanx
Scott
Hi Scott, I’m making a few tweaks to the stand at the moment. Would be happy to print for you etc once I’ve finished tinkering with it
Once we have the design sorted I will see what I can do.
Perfect thankyou :)
Like video
Fiat? Thought it was a pug? Lol
I keep saying Fiat as I owned one of them too lol. I meant Peugeot
that was the mistake in the video he said find the mistake.
Damn straight. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol.
