I really think Mike needed this szns past azz whipping to put every thing into perspective. Maybe he was feeling himself too much after 10-3/13-0 and got too lax. I think he’s now making the tough decisions of firing coaches, emphasis on recruiting , and letting go of play calling were key to keeping the program on an upward trajectory. And now restructuring his deal go help bring in whatever else we need. At least he is finally showing the initiative hopefully it all works out
While this doesn't change any criticism or opinions on his coaching/the team, I do have to say that I respect this move and think it reflects very well on CMN as a person. Hopefully this well have some ripple effects not only within the FSU program but in other areas of life where it may be needed.
I've been a Nole since birth and love Norvell and the example he sets. The crazy thing about this is that amount of money is only 1/3 of Arch Manning's rental fee. College Football is broken.

He wants to be here for a very long time and that’s why he did it and if you look at it in that way, he’s absolutely right by doing that he wants to proveeverything to the Florida State fans and the university because he truly cares about the school. He loves the scope and I’ll look at thank God for nova he’s not a greedy man. It’s about principal. It’s about Otter. Everybody oughta say hats off to him and appreciating for what he done.
No one ever said Coach Norvell isn’t a stand up guy. However, he is too nice. Notice how Dabo gets right up in the grill of a player after they commit a mindless penalty. He doesn’t tolerate tomfoolery. I wish our coach was more like that.
You guys can claim he stepped up and done the right thing, but the fact is if the university did not force this, then they dropped the ball. You paid this guy an enormous amount of money and he failed. If they weren’t trying to fire him, shame on them.
