I would rather have an Oto Melara Strales personally....Goalkeepers reloading time is my only issue with this system ;) Phalanx is too short ranged these days against hypersonic ASHMs
The by far best NATO CIWS/last line of defense system against super sonic anti ship missiles is the RIM-116 RAM. The downside of that system is that you can't shoot down stuff like artillery rounds, mortars, rockets or ATGMs. That said these threats should be extremely uncommon and mostly appear if they appear only in conflicts against insurgents, e.g. a mortar attack while docking in a port. And then it's questionable if you can use the CIWS in port or if it's even active. That's why I love the Russian Cashtan CIWS. It's the best of both worlds and since it's mounted through deck it can automatically rearm its missiles from under deck storage. In any case through deck mounts are preferable. The 1550 round drum of the Phalanx is just way too small, takes ages to reload and the crew has to be on deck to do so. 1550 rounds, that's 20 seconds of fire or 10 engagements. 10 engagements and the thing runs out of ammo...
@@threathy You know civilians design and build all these things the military use? Letting the users design things is like letting a driver design the car.
but this brrt shoots one bullit mis en then evry single one on target whit one push of a butten . its the best defends stystem there is . 250 bullits in one min. i have worket on them rebuild them .😀
You know it's really really loud? And it's capable of firing up to 4,200 rounds per minute? So there's all those explosions going off right there in front of you. It would be a huge surprise if it didn't.
De kapitein moet wel lang nadenken voordat hij toestemming geeft om te vuren. Mag hopen dat dat wat sneller gaat als er een echte raket op ze wordt afgeschoten.
The spinning radar looks like a Ninja Turtle turning round and round
like spinning and building up power to throw a big log of wood
Damn you 🤣
Oh, totally. I want to paint it like Raphael, or a sumo wrestler, and the 'log' a wood texture.
Lol Yes I can see it now 🧐 with a backpack on
Thanks...now I can't unsee it.
Sailor: "Look at that plane coming towards us!!!"
Captain: what plane?
Oh shit 💩
@Emmanuel Johnathan if I see this goddamn flixzone shit again I'm going to CIWS goalkeep their office
I can hear it rain
Who needs coffee when you got this thing!
After it fired it went like “ OH UM OK EH I UH there... “

Phalanx can also track Mach 3 soooo idk man use what you will
@@indigosix5180 Mach 3 is 1000m/s, you would typically use missiles against that (i.e. ESSM) and not guns that give you a hit window of only 2 seconds

All of those normal civilian discussing which ciws is better for their military. 😂

I'll watch GK brrrrrt over Warthog brrrrt anytime
Theyre the same brrrrrrrrrt

Is this effective?
its a GAU-8.......A10 Warthog gun, 7 barrel 30mm.....what do you think?
No, it's only decoration! DA!😬
its the klingons!
That looks like soldier spinning
Seagull 3 O'clock inbound.
Should it really cause that much vibrations?

nice

In een echt gevecht gaat dit volledig automatisch.
Inderdaad bij echte dreiging reageert de goalkeeper volautomatisch.
What happens when the enemy flies behind the tower?
there's another turret on the back, UK carriers use 3 of these systems, slaved workig together
The ship’s turned into Swiss cheese! J/k there are physical safety stops and firing cutoff switches to prevent that
